Geschichte: Ganze 2.500 Jahre bevor die Jungfrau Maria überhaupt darüber nachdachte, Jesus zur Welt zu bringen, krochen einige Schweden im Schnee auf dem Berg in der Nähe des Ortes herum, der später Hoting genannt wurde. Obwohl sie ihre Skier unbedingt brauchten, wenn sie auf die Jagd gehen mussten, pflegten sie offenbar nicht besonders gut mit ihnen. Auf jeden Fall verlor einer der Schweden einen seiner Ski, und obwohl er offensichtlich danach suchte, wurde er erst 1921 gefunden. Es ist der älteste Ski der Welt, und obwohl er recht primitiv ist, funktionierte er genau nach dem Original dieselben Prinzipien wie die Ski, die wir heute verwenden.
