Birdy ist eine Tisch-, Wand- und Stehleuchtenserie, die 1952 im modernistischen Stil entworfen wurde. Über viele Jahre wurde die Serie von der norwegischen Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Sønnico (Oslo) produziert und verkauft.

Im Jahr 1954 wurde die Tischleuchte, damals unter dem Namen „s-30016“ bekannt, mit der Goldmedaille auf der Mailänder Triennale ausgezeichnet.

Im Jahr 2013 entschied sich Northern, diesen Designklassiker neu aufzulegen – mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die originale Form und die funktionalen Eigenschaften, die ihn ursprünglich so beliebt gemacht hatten.

Die Leuchtenserie ist in Weiß, Grau oder Schwarz mit Stahlfinish erhältlich. Die Version All Black präsentiert sich komplett in Schwarz, inklusive Schirm und Metallelementen.

Great quality for the price!

Glowy but not sure about the spf

My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen.
