Work, Body, Leisure erforscht die räumlichen Umstände, Lebensbedingungen und Konzepte des menschlichen Körpers und wie diese durch Umstellungen der Arbeitsbedingungen und des Arbeitsethos verändert werden.

Die Niederlande waren stets – und sind immer noch – ein Versuchsfeld für Arbeitskonzepte der Zukunft. Die Publikation Work, Body, Leisure, publiziert in Verbindung mit dem Niederländischen Pavillon der Architekturbiennale von Venedig, verhandelt Fragen wie beispielsweise: Wie sehen die räumlichen Konstellationen der Interaktion zwischen Mensch und Maschine aus? Wie stellen Räume die traditionellen Unterscheidungen zwischen Arbeit und Freizeit in Frage? Wie definieren neue Konzepte von Arbeit den Körper und welche rechtlichen, kulturellen und technischen Infrastrukturen ermöglichen dessen Ausbeutung? Ziel ist es, als Antwort auf sich entwickelnde Automatisierungstechnologien neue Formen von Kreativität und Verantwortung innerhalb des Feldes von Architektur zu erschließen.
