Für ganze 12 Monate ruht unser Quarantini Barrel Aged Gin:
11 Monate in einem alten deutschen Weinbrandfass aus Eiche und anschließend 1 Monat in einem seltenen Maulbeerbaumfass.
Das Ergebnis?
Ein aromatisches Meisterwerk mit samtig-cremigen Vanillenoten und einer intensiven Orangensüße, die seinesgleichen sucht.

BARREL AGED FIZZ

🧡 50 ml Barrel Aged Gin
✨ 150 ml Ginger Ale 
🧊 Eiswürfel 
🍊 Orangenscheibe zur Dekoration

Zubereitung:
Fülle ein Gin Glas voll mit Eiswürfeln. Gebe 50 ml Barrel Aged Gin hinzu. Fülle das Gin Glas mit Ginger Ale auf. Rühre alles kurz und langsam um, damit die Kohlensäure des Ginger Ales erhalten bleibt.
Dekoriere deinen Drink mit einer Orangenscheibe.

Und fertig ist der Barrel Aged Fizz – CHEERS!

🧡 30 ml Barrel Aged Gin
🍷 30 ml Roter Wermut
♥️ 30 ml Campari
🧊 Eiswürfel 
🍊 Orangenscheibe zur Dekoration

Zubereitung:
Fülle ein Gin Glas voll mit Eiswürfeln. Gebe je 30 ml Barrel Aged Gin, roten Wermut und Campari hinzu.

Gut umrühren und mit einer Orangenscheibe dekorieren.

Und fertig ist der perfekte Barrel Aged Negroni – CHEERS!

BARREL AGED SOUR

🧡 60 ml Barrel Aged Gin
🍋 30 ml Zitronensaft
💧 20 ml Zuckersirup (1:1 Zucker/Wasser Mischung)
🧊 Eiswürfel 
🍊 Orangenzeste zur Dekoration

Zubereitung:
1. Alles zusammen in den Shaker geben und für 15 Sekunden gut shaken.

2. Danach das Eis entfernen für und weitere 10 Sek gut shaken

3. Den Drink in das Glas schütten & genießen

Quarantini wurde im Jahr 2020 gegründet, um Gastronomen und kleine Händler in der Pandemie zu unterstützen. In 1 1/2 Jahren kamen so über 175.000€ Spenden zusammen.

Nachdem die Mission erfolgreich war, entwickelten wir mit unserer Community einen neuen sozialen Zweck: Pro verkaufter Flasche versorgen wir einen Menschen in Sambia ein Jahr lang mit sauberem Trinkwasser.

UNSERE STORY

 

Während der Quarantäne in April 2020 haben wir mit unserem Team jeden Donnerstag bei einem After-Work-Call virtuell mit Drinks auf eine (fast) abgeschlossene Arbeitswoche angestoßen.

Daraus leitete sich die Idee ab, einen sozialen Gin zu entwickeln, der sowohl gut schmeckt, als auch den Menschen während der Quarantäne eine Freude bereitet.

Nach 1,5 Jahren haben wir über 175.000€ gesammelt und voller Erfolg die Mission erfüllt. Quarantini bleibt aber immer ein sozialer Gin, deswegen haben wir uns mit Hilfe unserer Community für einen neuen Zweck entschieden.

Mit jeder Flasche versorgen wir eine Person in einem Entwicklungsland für ein Jahr mit sauberem Trinkwasser.

Only my second first person written selection, I am still getting used to that aspect, but unlike my first, I enjoyed that the story was told through both MCs. A great enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fated love etc, that resonated to me. There were some small twists that I could see coming, but also a few that I didn’t quite see until the characters were also seeing. Personally, I am more interested in the story than the spice, but with that said, it was well seasoned! I am kind of new to the spice world so I can’t say for sure how this would rate, but it definitely had some heat. I am very glad I happened across this author, and I do plan on also reading the next book….if nothing else, just to see for myself the “transformation” of the characters I’ve grown to love!

😍😍 BEST DEBUT NOVEL EVER

I’m having trouble finding accurate words to describe the way this book made me feel, but I am going to do my best. To start off with basic elements, the character and world building are phenomenal. I feel a strong bond to not only the two main characters, Ara and Rogue, but to each and every character introduced throughout the book. The author did a stellar job of giving each of them unique personhood. All of the scenes are beautifully described. So much so that throughout the entirety of the book, I could see every scene: the towns, the castles, the meadows, the landscape. I have had difficulty with this and with distinguishing between outlying characters while reading in the past, but I did not have to think to remember details of world or character building because they flowed naturally within the story and were described well. I have read book series before that made me want to be a part of that world, but I actually felt like I got to step into Auryna and Ravaryn! The plot twists!! Although this is not a suspense novel, it still had me on a rollercoaster of emotions and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I haven’t cried actual tears over a book since I was in high school (and I’ve read a LOT). This book finally broke the floodgates in the final few chapters. Multiple times. And we love a good cliffhanger. It truly made me FEEL. THE SPICE is a solid 3.5/5. Some of the scenes had me flushed, some had me taking notes, some just had my jaw slack and my mouth hanging open. Bravo, JD Linton, bravo. The relationships: friendships, family, romantic, ALL of the relationships in this book have so much meaning. The author does a great job at making you feel the love, the anger, the peace, the frustrations, the safety, the familiarity, etc. between the characters. Ara and Rogue. I can not say enough and I also do not want to say too much. Just know that I feel like I know them both, to their core. I know what their childhood looks likes, their darkest moments, their biggest fears, their dreams and passions, what they want in life… The POV switches were seamless. I am so happy this author decided to let us see from both sets of eyes. I can not wait for book two after that cliffhanger. And there is SO much potential for at least one prequel, I can’t wait to see where this author goes! I hope this series continues and flourishes. Fingers crossed!

This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book. Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that. I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice. This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am a sucker for Beauty and the Beast retellings, especially when there is fae magic involved. This story is a stand-alone and can easily be read and enjoyed as such, but the story in the background is waiting to unfold. Briannis is a lost woman trying to find her place in the world. She happens to be an excellent assassin, but only when there is a good reason behind the job. She runs afoul of the law and is coerced into killing the King of Fae. Their tale begins with much violence and mistrust. They reach an understanding that turns into more as they are stuck inside the Keep thanks to the murderous roses encasing the building. Some of my favorite quotes "This is not very..." "Proper?" His low drawl curled around her guts, sweet and syrupy. "I thought you'd realise by now that I'm far from a proper man, Miss Iavi." She swallowed hard. "You're... you're not making sense. You don't even like me." "I don't?" he said dryly. "I tried to kill you! Three times in a row!" "You may want to leave," he added, barely even moving his lips. His voice was low and raspy, little more than a growl; the words came out with laboured breaths. "Before I no longer let you." "You can’t just act like you didn’t have your fingers inside me a few hours ago! That’s not something you talk about over strawberries!" He took a sip of tea. "You’ve had your knife inside me too." "That," she said exasperatedly, "is something extremely different." "In the sense that I’d be happy to repeat one incident and not the other, yes." He smiled at her over his teacup, shameless... "You make a terrible king out of me, Briannis Iavi." "Are you very sure? There’s no need to be polite if you—" "I’m not being polite!" A trembling laugh escaped her.
