Zwar sieht sie unserer zum Verwechseln ähnlich, doch in ihrer Künstlichkeit erscheint sie rätselhaft. Seine Bilder sind mit ihrer aus Film- und Werbeindustrie entlehnten Ästhetik aber nur vordergründig makellos-plakativ. Tatsächlich verhandeln sie Fragen nach Demokratie, Gleichberechtigung oder Selbstbestimmung. Anlässlich seiner ersten großen Einzelausstellung in Deutschland erläutert dieser begleitende Katalog wesentliche Aspekte von Olafs künstlerischem Schaffen. Zugleich bietet er einen attraktiven Überblick über sein facettenreiches Werk der vergangenen vierzig Jahre. Veröffentlicht werden hier auch erstmal Olafs jüngsten Arbeiten, die eigens für die Ausstellung in der Kunsthalle München entstanden.Dieses Buch ist auch auf Deutsch erhältlich.
ERWIN OLAF (*1959, Niederlande) begann in den 1980er Jahren mit dokumentarischer Fotografie das Nachtleben einzufangen und entwickelte sich weiter zu einem Künstler, der als Regisseur und Fotograf cinematische Fotografien erschafft, die meist durch eine mystische Stimmung geprägt sind. Seine Arbeit ist weltweit anerkannt und vielfach in Ausstellungen präsentiert.

I like it!
Color: Angel
This is a very interesting addition to my garden. The angel is nice. The light isn’t real bright but it’s bright enough. There were no instructions in the box but I finally found the on/off switch under the light part. The item wasn’t damaged, it was packed well and arrived when expected.

Poor size statue with very weak light

This item is very small. The angel is very nice but tiny. The light is solar and works but it is very dim when it comes on. I would not purchase this item again. I feel this item is over priced and falls short of all expectations.

Excellent lighting

Highly recommended!
I actually reordered one because I forgot one night to bring it in, then a severe storm came through and stole the umbrella, turning it upside down in the yard. Water got into the battery bays, so they rusted. I'm sure other connections inside rusted too, because after cleaning the contacts, I could not get the light to work again.
But the reason I purchased a new one is because it looks so classy. Its warm light can be adjusted to three levels just by pressing the On button through the levels. Very simple. The ambiance it provides is lovely!
Next to the On button is the clip that flips open to swing open the light. Place the light around the umbrella pole and snap shut the clip. The light is secured, but you can also slide it up or down to whatever height you prefer. It still remains stable and in place until you move it again.
Until I left my first one out in the rain, the light worked beautifully and reliably, as does its replacement. Battery life is excellent unless you forget to turn off the light. I can't tell you exactly how long they last because inevitably after a few weeks, I do forget to turn it off.
This is an inexpensive and beautiful upgrade to your patio experience. Excellent value, excellent quality, excellent lighting.

Great light, great price!

I'm a Carnivore who does all of my meat and fish cooking outdoors, adjacent to my kitchen. For the winter, I've put up a half-umbrella to keep the rain off of my cooktop. This light rounds out the kitchen by providing GREAT light for my alfresco kitchen. It works like a charm and is easy on the batteries.. I LOVE it!
