Geschichte:
Ich finde das Aussehen von Zebras total faszinierend.
Ich habe mich gefragt, warum diese Tiere überhaupt schwarz-weiß gestreift sind.
Zum einen ist es ein Schutz vor Insekten, die durch das Muster bei der Landung irritiert werden. Ebenso wird vermutet, dass die Streifen das Tier kühlen. Wie das funktionieren soll? Weiß reflektiert die Wärme, während Schwarz Wärme speichert. Die schwarzen Streifen auf dem Zebrafell sind deswegen viel wärmer als die weißen. Dieser Temperaturunterschied führt dazu, dass kleine Luftwirbel über dem Zebrafell entstehen und das Tier den ganzen Tag über kühl halten. Erstaunlich, oder?

I’ve been using this stuff for a number of years for a number of vehicles now and it works every time. It’s especially great with those small annoying leaks where you just lose a couple pounds every few days so you have to keep adding air like once a week. It totally seals it. The bottle says to only rely on it for 300 to 500 miles and then get a proper fix. However, I have not found this to be the case. The seal holds for the rest of the life of my tire every time I’ve used it. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little cheaper, but you can seal up 2 tires (use only half the can per tire - you can probably even get away with using less). There is a garage not far from me that fixes leaking tires for $10, which is the same price as this product so not really saving any money by using it. It’s more just a matter of convenience. Just make sure you get this “thru-core” one. They have other ones as well so it can get confusing, but the one you’d want for situations like I’ve described above (small to medium leak in a typical passenger vehicle) is this “thru-core” one.

My new go-to for roadside emergencies.

Okay, I recently picked up this 58-in-1 tire repair kit, and I'm really glad I did. I've always been a bit nervous about getting a flat tire, especially on a long trip, and this kit has been a huge relief. The first thing I noticed was how complete it is. It's got everything you could possibly need, from the T-handle reamer to the solid pliers. I really appreciate the feel of the tools—they're not flimsy at all.
