Highland Park 2006 - 18 y.o. - Sig Ibisco Decanter

Besonderheiten: Dieser 18 Jahre alte Highland Park Single Malt Whisky wurde 2006 destilliert und 2024 vom unabhängigen Abfüller Signatory Vintage in der exklusiven Ibisco Decanter Collection abgefüllt. Die Reifung erfolgte in Hogshead-Fässern, was zu einem kraftvollen Whisky mit 52% Vol. führte. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Verwendung des Ibisco Decanters, einer edlen Flasche, die normalerweise für die Abfüllungen von Edradour verwendet wird und diesem Highland Park eine besondere Note verleiht.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Fruchtige Noten von grünen Äpfeln, Birnen und frischen Zitrusfrüchten, begleitet von einer sanften Vanillenote, geröstetem Malz, Kräutern und hellem Holz.
  • Gaumen: Vollmundig und cremig mit Aromen von gegrillter Ananas mit Honig, Nektarinen, Aprikosen und Zitruszesten. Unterlegt von rauchigen Noten, grüner Pfeffer, leicht salzigem Heidekraut, Eichenwürze und Haferkeksen mit Vanillecreme.
  • Abgang: Anhaltend und ölig mit subtilen Rauchanklängen, fruchtiger Süsse, Kräutern, Gewürzen und einer feinen Eichenwürze.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Highland Park ist eine der nördlichsten Whisky-Brennereien Schottlands und liegt nahe Kirkwall auf den Orkney-Inseln. Seit über 220 Jahren produziert die Brennerei einen der feinsten schottischen Single Malts. Für die zarten Torfnoten sorgt geräuchertes Gerstenmalz vom Malzboden. Signatory Vintage, gegründet 1988 von Andrew Symington, ist ein unabhängiger Abfüller, der sich auf die Abfüllung aussergewöhnlicher Whisky-Schätze spezialisiert hat und international für seine hochwertigen Produkte bekannt ist.

If you intend to use it regularly over the full face, expect it to run out extremely quickly. I purchased mine during a significant sale, and even at the discounted price I still felt disappointed by how little use I got from it. Hydrating moisturizer with pleasant scent

Update: I’ve now used 2 sticks. I won’t be buying again. Although I like how convenient this moisturizer is, the price is too high for the amount you get. Also, going through another stick, I’ve noticed no signs that it helps with fine lines or wrinkles. This product is simply an on the go moisturizer or even a highlighter. But I can use castor oil and Vaseline for that. I had to deduct a star. So far, this moisturizing stick has been a great and convenient addition to my routine. I haven’t noticed any additional benefits yet (like long-term improvements in skin texture or tone), but it might be too early to say. I’ll update my review if anything changes with continued use.
