„Wir heißen dich willkommen, Endless Rüttenscheid“, singen International Music im Titelstück zu ihrem dritten Studio-Album, das am 06. September 2024 erscheint. Der Albumtitel „Endless Rüttenscheid“ dürfte für Fans jenseits des deutschen Sprachraums eine echte Herausforderung sein. „Endless", klar, aber dann: Ein rollendes R gefolgt von einem Umlaut, ein Doppeltes T und am Ende ein hart ausgesprochenes D: Rüttenscheid. So heißt der florierende Essener Stadtteil mitten in Europa, der im Ruhrgebiet für lukratives Wachstum, aber eben auch für die allseits bekannte Gentrifizierungs-Problematik steht. Aber wie bei International Music üblich, bilden solche gesellschaftspolitischen Sujets hauptsächlich Räume, um sich darin zu verlieben, zu träumen und sich wieder zu trennen, bloß um sich eines Tages wiederzusehen. „Herz ist Trumpf“, um an dieser Stelle einfach mal die Kultband TRIO zu zitieren, die mit International Music nicht nur die Besetzungsgröße gemein haben.

Pedro Goncalves Crescenti, Peter Rubel und Joel Roters haben seit ihrem Debüt-Album „Die besten Jahre“ (2018) konsequent einen eigenen, so farbenfrohen wie minimalistischen Rock-Sound entwickelt, der zwischen 60ies Beat & Boogie, 70ies Krautrock, 80ies New Wave und 90ies Shoegaze und Postrock oszilliert. Also so ziemlich allem, was der Mensch in der Formation Bass, Schlagzeug und Gitarre zusammen an freudiger Musik herstellen kann.

Considering how much I’m using it in Procreate, I would say it’s more than paid for itself! As expensive as it seems, it’s been a great value for the money. It’s easy to use and the design is simple. You just have to remember to occasionally plug it in to charge it- the end slides open, revealing a type-C charger port. But the battery life on it lasts a long time. I’ve used it all day before without it dying on me! That reminds me, I should probably go plug it in now…

Works great, was easy to connect and it’s easy to use. It’s durable. Most of the time I’m using it instead of my fingers. Pairs well with my iPad A16. It’s not heavy, nor is it too light. Sometimes it’s annoying when I’m trying to use the keyboard on my iPad but it doesn’t pull it up since it’s connected to the pencil, but it’s not too big of a deal. I love the appearance, I’ve always been obsessed with this type of stylus, I found it more practical and easier to use than a traditional stylus. (Plus it makes it so much easier to exit out of ads) I won’t comment on the price since I’m sure it’s worth the money, but I’ll let others be the judge of that. For art purposes, I’m not an artist yet, but I’m practicing, and it works for me, I just can’t comment on how it’ll be for an actual artist though, so please do your research on which will be best for you!

Not perfect but a good pencil for a good price.
Not as user friendly as the original pencil and battery doesn’t seem to hold a charge very long. After about 4 hours of being charged it was down to 46%. That was intermittent use and non use, with about 3 hours actual use. To charge the original pencil I pulled off the end exposing the lightening connector and plugged it into the receptacle on my iPad. This requires a USB-C cable connection from either the charger or the iPad. Admittedly, it’s not that big a deal, but it feels like a step backwards from the original. The battery longevity is a little more irksome. The pencil is very easy to use, and I’m actually amazed at how the iPad is able to generate text when I write with it, even with my sometimes barely legible script. Much improved over the original. I can live with the minor irritations because it’s a good value for the price.
