Each turn you choose a card from the display and place it in your territory in front of you. This activates all cards in a column and a row where you placed the new card. So think twice about where you put each card.

Pollution is an essential part of the game. Using international transportation and speeding up your production may help you get the raw materials you need faster, but it creates pollution, which can block your cards and even prevent you from scoring some of your raw materials. But if you use it carefully, it can lead to victory.

The game ends when all players have built up their territory of 9 cards (3 × 3 grid). At the end, they reactivate their territory based on their secret scorecard.
