Die Kellerei Varvaglione Vigne & Vini setzt einerseits bewusst auf die Tradition, zum Beispiel mit sorgfältiger Handarbeit bei der Ernte, andererseits ist der Keller modernst eingerichtet mit innovativer Technik, um die Weine möglichst schonend zu keltern. Ihr Papale stammt aus dem apulischen Mandurien und der qualitativ überragenden DOC für Primitivo. Er ist in seiner charaktervollen und balancierten Art ein perfekter, würzig-temperamentvoller Botschafter Süditaliens. Die Trauben des Papale reifen in den ältesten Weingärten von Vigne & Vini. Durch sehr geringe Erträge pro Hektar sind die Weine dieser Lage sehr konzentriert. Der Primitivo Papale wird für mindestens 8 Monate in Barrique ausgebaut Farbe: Dunkles Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. Duft/Geschmack: Intensiv nach reifen Früchten (Kirschen, Johannisbeeren). Enjoyed reading some of the best poems ever written. Took me places I’ve never been.

Some of the poems were difficult to comprehend and may require a re-reading to understand their full meaning. But that is the brilliance of G. Brooks, putting you in places of the mind that one has never been. Won’t recommend for newbies!
