- Vinifikation / Ausbau: Die Trauben werden von Hand im Weinberg Fundo Titon in der Nähe von Vicuña geerntet. Die Trauben bleiben nach dem Abschneiden der Traube zwei Monate lang am Rebstock. Anschließend werden sie Anfang Juni geerntet und auf natürliche Weise getrocknet, um eine höhere Konzentration zu erreichen. Die Gärung auf den Schalen erfolgt in Edelstahltanks, um Farbe, weiche Tannine und Aromen reifer Trauben zu extrahieren. Anschließend reift der Wein 6/8 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern.

Interesting History
Format: Paperback
My husband grew up close to Donner so he knew this story well. I found it very interesting to hear this from him and visit the area many years ago. My kids had just visited the Donner museum over Thanksgiving break and my 10 year old loves the "Who Was" series and these "I Survived or Escaped" books. My 9 year also reads them.
