Ihr Ziel ist es, edle Weine zu produzieren, die das Beste der australischen Terroirs zum Ausdruck bringen. Eines ihrer wichtigsten Parzellen ist das Weingut Whalebone, das nach der Entdeckung eines Walskeletts in einer Höhle unterhalb des Weinguts während der Neubepflanzung benannt wurde. Die Chardonnay-Trauben stammen aus dem Weinberg Tiers im Piccadilly Valley, der 1979 angelegt wurde. Der Chardonnay-Klon ist unbekannt, es wird jedoch angenommen, dass er mit der ersten Einführung dieser Rebsorte in Australien im 19. Jahrhundert verwandt ist. Nach der Gärung in Bottichen und französischen Eichenfässern ruht der Wein einige Monate auf der Hefe. Dieser köstliche Chardonnay ist elegant und komplex, mit einer klaren, leuchtenden zitronengelben Farbe und einigen grünlichen Reflexen. In der Nase ist er ausdrucksstark und öffnet sich mit frischen Zitrusaromen von Zitrone und Grapefruit, gefolgt von Steinobst und Ingwer und einigen Anklängen von süßen Gewürzen. Am Gaumen ist er lebendig und mineralisch, fruchtig und zeigt eine große Säurenote. Der Abgang ist lang und ausgewogen mit leichten Mandelnoten. Not an expert, but this seems pretty nice!
Look, I'm not humidor expert but this seems like a suprisingly nice unit for the price. Everything fits together precisely, and the different parts seem solid with a nice finish. The felt on the bottom protects surface scratches. It's definitely air-tight; you can hear it when you open the lid. The included accessories (solution and travel cases) are a nice touch. I don't have another hygrometer to compare to this, but the included one seems to be accurate.

Super cute landing space for keys

I always have trouble finding my keys and so it’s been very helpful to have a dedicated spot to easily throw them in when I get home. At first I thought it would be too big but it’s the perfect size for two wallets and keys, and it’s good quality albeit a bit expensive. The gold isn’t too shiny either, it’s a nice touch and it really reduces the look of clutter on your surfaces and helps it look more organized. It also doesn’t slip around.
