Das 2er Set Tassen "Amaryllis" zeigt zwei der vier Blütenmotive, die Bruno Bruni in seiner gleichnamigen Farblithografie festgehalten hat. Übertragen wurden die Motive auf feines Bone-China-Porzellan – ausgeführt von der privilegierten Weimarer Porzellanmanufaktur in einer signierten Exklusiv-Edition für ars mundi.

Die Amaryllis gehört zu den Klassikern in Bruno Brunis Werk. Neben Frauen-Akten und dem Trenchcoat zählt die prachtvolle Blume zu jenen Sujets, die der italienische Maler, Grafiker und Bildhauer über Jahrzehnte hinweg immer wieder variiert hat. Sein Stil verbindet figurative Elemente aus Renaissance und Manierismus mit Einflüssen des Surrealismus. Für die beiden Becher wurden zwei der vier farbenfrohen Blüten der Original-Lithografie ausgewählt.

Über den Künstler

Bruno Bruni wurde 1935 im italienischen Gradara geboren. Nach dem Studium am Istituto d'Arte di Pesaro wechselte er 1960 an die Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg und studierte dort unter anderem bei Paul Wunderlich. Seit den 1960er Jahren arbeitet er als freier Künstler; sein Werk umfasst Malerei, Grafik und Bildhauerei und wird international gesammelt.

You know a blanket’s soft when my dog immediately tries to appropriate it. This is incredibly soft, and actually pretty light; it makes for a good spring or summer blanket, or a throw in addition to something else in colder weather. (The twin is big enough that you can double it up over yourself to make it thicker in colder months.) I’m not sure while it’s called a “bubble” blanket - there is a very gentle egg crate shape to it, but it’s not rigid at all, and not dual-layer or filled with air or anything. It’s a very comfy throw (my dog can also attest to that) and for ~$20 (at the time of this review), it’s a great deal. I haven’t noticed any shedding, either, but I’m going to wash it on as gentle a cycle I can, to be safe.
