Besonderheiten: Der Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2024 ist ein Blended Whiskey, hergestellt von Irisch Distillers Ltd. Diese Edition, die von Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman zusammengestellt wurde, vereint die besten Fässer der Brennerei. Hierbei kam eine Mischung aus First-Fill-Whiskey-Fässern und ausgebrannten Bourbonfässern zum Einsatz. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 40% wird dieser Whiskey in einer 700 ml Flasche angeboten. Die Abfüllung trägt den Titel 'Release 2024' und ist dadurch unverwechselbar gestaltet.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: In der Nase präsentieren sich Aromen von Vanille, Kräuter- und floralen Noten, ergänzt durch Gartenfrüchte. Abgerundet wird das Profil durch Pot Still-Würze, Toffee und Heidehonig.
  • Gaumen: Am Gaumen entfalten sich tropische Früchte, Crème Brûlée und Toffee-Apfel, zusammen mit Pot Still-Würze und Nuancen von geröstetem Holz.
  • Abgang: Der Nachklang ist langanhaltend und prägt sich durch Fruchtnoten sowie einen ausgeprägten Holzcharakter aus.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Midleton Distillery, die grösste Brennerei Irlands, ist bekannt für ihre Produktion renommierter Whiskeymarken, zu denen unter anderem Jameson und Redbreast gehören. Für die limitierte Edition Midleton Very Rare 2024 wurden sowohl Single Pot Still als auch Single Grain Whiskeys verwendet. Diese Whiskeys reiften in einer Kombination aus First Fill Ex-American Whiskey Eichenfässern sowie einer kleineren Anzahl Refill Eichenfässer. Kevin O'Gorman, der Master Distiller, war massgeblich an der Zusammenstellung dieser Abfüllung beteiligt.

I've bought several now, even one for my mom! Love the quality, texture and smell. I swear my face looked better even after first use. I'm less-is-more mentality with skin care, and this stuff fits the bill. It has a lovely texture, feels great going on and forms a protective barrier all day! I've seen redness reduction, and maybe dark spot reduction (hard to tell), but definitely less redness and skin looks more nourished overall. It is the only product I use on my face. No makeup. Usually I use a cetaphil or cerave lotion in winter, but I have replaced that with this (a much more natural product)! ***I also love it is in glass, better for product shelf life and better for the environment!!!!!*** It is Vanilla scent but a natural scent, so it won't be strong like a perfume, it's very subtle which I appreciate. Another perk is US made, not coming from questionable manufacturers. And the price is awesome, comparable stuff is $30+ People complaining about lid :: make sure to get with a big order so your package comes in a box. I ordered once in envelope and the box was squished but the lid thankfully made it. Also yes, if in a warm environment it will be more oily/greasy. Read the ingredients, this is normal. Animal fat, beeswax, olive oil and honey all become more pliable/liquify in warmer temps.
