Unser Ceremonial Matcha ist einfach großartig! Er stammt aus der Region Kagoshima, eine der berühmtesten Teeregionen in ganz Japan. Nach der Ernte werden die Teeblätter von Stängeln und Blattrippen getrennt, sodass nur noch das wertvolle Blattfleisch übrig bleibt.

Das reine Blattfleisch nennt man Tencha (碾茶). Der Tencha wird anschließend auf Steinmühlen schonend und vor allem langsam gemahlen. Geschieht der Mahlprozess zu schnell, entsteht zu viel Wärme und der Tee verliert an Qualität. Das Endergebnis ist ein wundervoll leuchtendes, tiefgrünes Pulver - Matcha in seiner vollendeten Perfektion.

Geschmack

Unser Matcha hat ein sensationelles Aroma. Sein intensiver und frischer Charakter hat uns auf Anhieb überzeugt. Durch die Überschattung der Teepflanzen vor der Ernte hat der Matcha so gut wie keine Bitterstoffe und ist so weich wie ein Lotusblatt in der aufgehenden Sonne Japans. Das Ganze wird abgerundet von einem vollmundigen Umami und einer dichten, samtig cremigen Konsistenz.

Herkunft

Der Matcha Superior stammt von einer der führenden nachhaltig arbeitenden Teegärten in Japan. Diese Tee-Farm befindet sich in der Region Kagoshima und produziert nachhaltigen Tee in Spitzenqualität.
