Masakï Matsushima ließ sich für diese neue männliche Linie von der besonderen Stadtplanung Japans inspirieren. In ihr erschaffen die Architekten gleichzeitig eine betonlastige, rohe und fast chaotische Landschaft, daneben aber eine allgegenwärtige Natur nach Zen-Prinzipien. Mat; homme entstand aus diesen skurrilen Stadtlandschaften. Der Duft wurde von dem französischen Parfümeur Jérôme Di Marino komponiert, der mit dem japanischen Designer zusammenarbeitete.

Dieses Duo erforscht die Themen, die die Quintessenz der Marke ausmachen, um einzigartige und unverwechselbare konzeptionelle Düfte zu kreieren. Der kraftvolle und kontrastreiche Duft erinnert an die heutige neue Generation von Männern, die sich intensiv für die Erhaltung ihrer Umwelt und den Aufbau einer innovativen und modernen Zukunft einsetzen.

Der Stil: Natürlich, urban, minimalistisch, konzeptuell, roh.

Flakon und Verpackung
Die ikonische Avantgarde-Flakon der Masakï-Linie für Herren besteht in diesem Fall aus Milchglas mit einem Grün-Khaki-Farbverlauf, der ihm ein rohes und wildes Aussehen verleiht, das jedoch durch den weichen Touch, der dieses Set vervollständigt, gedämpft wird. Die schwarze Schrift verstärkt die männliche Seite dieser Linie und verleiht ihr Eleganz und Modernität. Die Verpackung besteht aus Pappe, einem natürlichen Material, das die tiefe Verbindung zwischen dem Duft und dem, was den Designer inspirierte, stärkt: Natur und städtisches Leben.

„Durch die Arbeit mit einer asiatischen Kultnote konnte ich dem Duft seine japanische Seele einhauchen. Die zarte Zitrusfrische des Szechuanpfeffers ist die Basis einer eleganten und raffinierten Note wie bei einer japanischen Skizze. Gewürze, die die klaren Linien und die Kraft der Natur widerspiegeln. Von den fünf Elementen, die im Feng-Shui verwendet werden, habe ich mich für Holz entschieden, insbesondere wegen seiner Energie und Stärke. Eine sprudelnde Frische für neue Impulse.“

Der Duft,
Holzig, aromatisch, würzig. Ein Duft voller Kontraste, angeführt von Gewürzen, die als Duo mitschwingen. Ein zitrischer Beginn mit Szechuanpfeffer und Limette, gefolgt von harzigen Variationen von Elemi, begleitet wiederum von Zedernblättern. Eine Duftspur mit sinnlichen Impulsen von Zimt, der die Süße des Kaschmirholzes wiedergibt.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
