Unser Entwicklungsteam bei Roval hatte keine leichte Aufgabe: Das neue Cockpit sollte aerodynamisch, leicht, steif und kompromisslos sein und so nicht nur den Gegenwind, sondern auch die Schwerkraft überlisten. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, hat man das messerscharfe Design des Roval Rapide Lenkers mit den Benefits einer Kombination aus Lenker und Vorbau verknüpft. Entstanden ist ein Cockpit, das seinem Namen alle Ehre macht: Wie in einem Jet schneiden sich Roadies damit ihren Weg präzise durch unsichtbare Luftmassen. Diese Eigenschaften machen das Rapide Cockpit schon jetzt zu einer Galionsfigur an leistungsstarken Rennrädern.

Aerodynamisch: Die Kombination aus Lenker und Vorbau eröffnete dem Entwicklungsteam ungeahnte Spielräume bei der Verwirklichung eines aerodynamischen Cockpits. Das messerscharfe Design und die stromlinienförmigen Tragflächen minimieren den Luftwiderstand spürbar und das Zusammenspiel aus maximaler Gewichtsreduktion und maximaler Aerodynamik mündet in einen unschlagbaren Vorteil bei allen Ausreißversuchen und Zielsprints. Ganze 32 cm Vorsprung auf einem 250 m langen Zielsprint. Das entspricht einem Leistungsvorteil von 4 Watt. Diese Zahl wurde vom Ride Science Team in der Simulation mit realen Leistungsdaten, Streckendaten und CdA-Werten aus unserem WinTunnel, unserem eigenen Windkanal, errechnet. Fakten, die man fühlen kann und zum Sieg verhelfen.

Leicht und steif: Alle Roadies wissen: Wenn man auf etwas verzichten kann, dann Gewicht. Was bei der ganzen Einsparung nicht zu kurz kommen darf, ist die Steifigkeit. Um beiden Ansprüchen gerecht zu werden und keine faulen Kompromisse einzugehen, hat das Entwicklungsteam ein hochsteifes Cockpit aus erstklassiger Carbonfaser gefertigt. So unterstützt das Rapide Cockpit mit einem perfekten Verhältnis aus idealer Steifigkeit und minimalem Gewicht die Gewinner der nächsten Etappe. Durch die unmittelbare Verbindung zum Gabelschaft ergibt sich ein unbeugsames und höchst präzises Fahrverhalten, das die schnellsten Sprinter auf der World Tour zu schätzen wissen. Für alle, die glauben, mehr als 10 g Gewicht lassen sich heutzutage kaum noch einsparen: Im Vergleich zur zweiteiligen Variante aus Rapide Lenker und Tarmac SL7 Vorbau konnten satte 50 g einspart werden.

Geometrie: Dass das Roval Rapide Cockpit zu allen Roadies passt, die ihre Leistung potenzieren wollen, steht außer Frage. Viel wichtiger ist, dass dieses gute Stück auch ergonomisch ist. Um den perfekten Fit sicherzustellen, bietet Specialized daher 15 verschiedene Vorbau- und Lenkerkombinationen mit jeweils –6° Winkel an. Entwickelt für perfekten Komfort auf kilometerlangen Tagesetappen in Kooperation mit unseren Profis von Retül und den weltweit besten Fahrern. Der Radius wurde für mehr Handgelenkfreiheit bei finalen Sprints oder Areo-Positionen angepasst, während Bend und Flare vom Rapide Lenker übernommen wurden. Kaum ein anderes Cockpit spiegelt wider, wie wichtig die Relation zwischen dem einwandfreien Shape und der Performance ist.

I figured I'd be hosed trying to find a USB-C hub with 4 USB-C ports and have it work with what I need. Well, this hub does the trick and is nowhere near the cost of higher end hubs that fail to deliver. I've used the OWC Thunderbolt hub and it works great, only it is too big and bulky to carry all the time. I needed a way to expand the lame two USB-C ports on my M1 Macbook Pro and maintain some (most) of the functionality the OWC hub gives me. My priorities were: 1. Extra USB-C ports. 2. Ability to Sidecar to my iPad using USB and not wireless. 3. Work with a USB-C to ethernet adapter. 4. Keep costs below $75. This hub gave me all of that and, including the cost of the ethernet adapter, I got what I wanted for less than fifty bucks. Yeah, it might not be the fastest transferring files, its unable to passthrough charge, and you can't connect a monitor to it (well, you can but it won't work). It suits my needs though and as a bonus it charges my iPad while I'm using it as a second screen. Now I have a lot less clutter at work and four pounds less weight to drag around with no loss of functionality. I'd call this great bang for my bucks.

Style: Data Transfer (10Gbps)
This was one of only three or four 4-port USB-C hubs I was able to find. The others IIRC were made by Acer, Belkin, and Rosewill. Of the four, only this one and the Belkin also had power-delivery capabilities, and this one was slightly cheaper. The cable is a little short, only about 17cm. This can be good or bad depending on your use case. Personally, I think it's adequate, as it's plugged into my monitor, so not having a bunch of extra cable to tie up is a good thing, although it's a little odd to have it partially hanging rather than sitting flat on my desk. Again, not a bad thing, because it's quite light, so nothing is being stressed. However, people who want to plug it into a port on the rear of a tower will most likely need to purchase a USB-C male-to-female cable extension, keeping in mind that to use this hub to it's full capability, you would need a USB4 certified extension rated for 40gbps data & 100w power delivery. Overall, I am pleased. I will most likely use this for a very long time, at least until USB-C completely replaces USB-A.

*If you are reading this and wondering if you should get it, or a competitor product that slightly lower in price... just get this one. You won't regret it.* I already wrote a review, but I forgot to add photos. 1) I couldn't find a hub that had more than 2 USB-C ports; 2) This thing is tiny, doesn't demand attention, and built with aluminum. Not plastic, and doesn't feel cheap; 3) a life saver. I took velcro and mounted the little sucker under my MacBook mount. Now I could plug in my external drives, SD reader, and use the ports on my computer for other peripherals. One thing I was worried about was transfer speeds. I don't expect the fastest speeds ever, but I don't want to regret my purchase if it was going to give me more of a headache than a solution. To my surprise, the transfer speeds are fast, and feel faster than when they were plugged directly into my computer. One hard drive in particular always gave me trouble mounting. it would take forever. Since I purchased this drive it mounts in seconds. I've used Satechi before, and their product have proven to me over and over to be reliable and of quality. *If you are reading this and wondering if you should get it, or a competitor product that slightly lower in price... just get this one. This is plugged into a Macbook Air M2 and it supports a time machine drive, a 4TB solid state drive, a wired keyboard, and a free USB port for plugging various stuff into. In this use case, some other hubs don't work well with the Macbook; it keeps forgetting hub-linked drives are there, dropping them when asleep or not seeing them after a reboot. Leave the Laptop at Home - Content Backups

I purchased this hub so I could leave the laptop at home and do backups of my GoPro Cameras and Drone footage to an SSD drive. I used FilePro Explorer app on my iPhone to set up tasks to do backups of my content from the SD cards to SSD drive. The one hiccup I encountered is FilePro Explorer (or this hub, not sure which) wouldn't recognize my GoPro cameras as a data source, so I had to remove the SD card from my GoPro Cameras, insert the card into another USB hub that had an SD card adapter (like the one here https://amzn.to/4dlkhMt ) and plug that into the Satechi Hub as another drive source, which it then recognized my SD card from the GoPro camera. So basically two small USB hubs and an App on my iPhone replaced what I would normally do with my laptop. Big weight savings when you're on a bike or motorcycle traveling.
