In Die Gilde der Fahrenden Händler begebt ihr euch auf eine Entdeckungsreise, auf der ihr unerschlossene Gebiete erkundet, neue Siedlungen gründet und Handelsstraßen errichtet. Wenn ihr geschickt vorgeht, wächst euer bereits erschlossenes Territorium in jeder Runde, dadurch habt ihr in der nächsten Runde eine bessere Ausgangsbasis, um noch mehr zu entdecken.
Alle Spielenden erhalten zu Beginn einen identischen Spielplan, auf dessen Mitte sie ihre Entdeckungsreise beginnen. Anhand von Geländekarten wird festgelegt, welche Gebiete erkundet werden können. Die erkundeten Gebiete werden durch kleine Cubes gekennzeichnet. Sobald eine ganze Region erkundet wurde, entsteht eine Siedlung, die Ausgangspunkt für weitere Entdeckungen in den nachfolgenden Runden sein kann. Je mehr Siedlungen ihr errichtet, um so größer wird also der Bereich, den ihr erkunden könnt.
Wenn es euch gelingt, die bereits auf dem Plan befindlichen Städte zu verbinden, Gebiete mit einem Leuchtturm oder einem Schiffswrack zu erkunden und die Investigation Cards optimal zu nutzen, werdet ihr am Ende als der größte Entdecker in der Gilde der Fahrenden Händler in die Geschichte eingehen.

Achtung! Für Kinder unter 3 Jahren nicht geeignet. Erstickungsgefahr, da kleine Teile verschluckt oder eingeatmet werden können.

Better than thin plastic boards
I used to use one of those thin/bendable plastic cutting boards, thinking it's easier to transfer food into pots/pans from the board, but they tend to get bent in time and they're simply too thin and I hated the feeling of my knife pretty much hitting the kitchen counter. So, I decided to buy this set. I wanted to try a wooden board, but didn't want to spend too much in case I didn't like it, and this set had the perfect price tag and I liked the fact it came with 4 different sizes, so that I can see what size would actually be more useful. I've been using it for 2 months now they're doing great (except one of them started splitting a bit and started showing some strange black dots on the side... possibly mold??? though I can't think of any reason why mold would grow on just one of them. Maybe it's related to the fact that it's the only one that's cracking. And this is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.) Anyway, apart from that one, the rest are doing well and having 3 boards is plenty. I like the juice groove to avoid spilling liquid on the board, as it happened so many time using the bendable plastic boards. I'm handwashing them with dish soap. They seem to dry pretty fast, and so far no stains etc. on the surface. They're not super duper thick so even the largest one is not too difficult to handle. I sometimes use them to serve some food like appetizers, snacks, pizzas and sandwiches, etc. too!
