Das Chambray Shirt von Buzz Rickson’s basiert auf den klassischen Arbeitshemden der U.S. Navy und U.S. Army – einfache, funktionale Hemden, wie sie über Jahrzehnte auf Schiffen, in Werkstätten und auf Militärbasen getragen wurden.

Chambray ist dabei kein Denim, wirkt aber ähnlich: eine Leinwandbindung mit Indigo-gefärbter Kette und weißem Schussfaden. Das Ergebnis ist ein leichter, luftiger Stoff mit klarer Struktur und einer trockenen, direkten Haptik.

Im Tragen entwickelt das Material seinen eigenen Verlauf. Durch Sonne, Waschen und Bewegung hellt das Indigo langsam auf, die Oberfläche wird weicher, lebendiger – ähnlich wie bei ungewaschenem Denim, nur leichter und feiner im Ausdruck.

Buzz Rickson’s setzt diese Hemden sehr nah am Original um. Einfache Konstruktion, funktionale Details, klare Silhouette – genau so, wie sie damals gedacht waren.
