Wenn es einen Rotwein gibt, der den Ätna erklärt, dann Vinupetra: Salvo Fotis Cru stammt aus sehr alten, teils wurzelechten Alberello-Reben in den Hochlagen des Vulkans — bewirtschaftet in reiner Handarbeit, wie es die Vigneri seit Jahrhunderten tun. Für viele Kenner gehört dieser Wein zum Besten, was Sizilien hervorbringt.

Im Jahrgang 2024 treffen Nerello Mascalese und Nerello Cappuccio auf einen kleinen Anteil Grenache. Auf dem schwarzen Lavaboden entsteht ein Rotwein von heller Farbe und großer Spannung: Sauerkirsche, getrocknete Kräuter, Rauch und eine steinige Mineralität, die man fast kauen kann — getragen von feinem, reifem Tannin.

Ein Wein mit Reifepotenzial, der schon jetzt Freude macht — geben Sie ihm eine halbe Stunde in der Karaffe. Großartig zu geschmortem Lamm, Pilzgerichten oder gereiftem Pecorino.
