Beim Pflanzen muss ein Abstand zwischen den Knollen eingehalten werden. Der Pflanzabstand beträgt das Dreifache der Knollenbreite. Für die Pflanztiefe die dreifache Höhe der Knolle beibehalten. Die Menge an Sonnenlicht spielt für die Dahlie keine Rolle. Die Pflanze sollte unmittelbar nach dem Pflanzen gegossen werden. Danach gießen wir wöchentlich.
