Nakadate (*1975 in Austin, Texas) entwickelte eine überzeugende Performance, die um Selbstreflexion, Gefühl und Abbild kreist. Ihre Fotos gewähren tiefe Einblicke in das Privatleben der Künstlerin, beschämen den Betrachter und wecken gleichzeitig sein Mitgefühl. Kunsthistorische Zitate oder »bad images« verweisen dabei auf den Kunstcharakter der Inszenierungen.
