One of the first things everyone notices about the S-1 is that it feels light. It is physically light, but the balance and short boom geometry make it feel even lighter. New materials further complement the S-1's design: D6 Dacron gives the front sail areas elasticity, while VX2 stabilizes the main panels. The result is a consistent power position between the hands that provides enough pressure on the back hand to execute maneuvers without ever feeling too heavy. The S-1 is a maneuver-oriented wave sail that excels in waves from knee-high to extremely large.
