Zierlauch bleibt schön kompakt und bekommt eine Blüte in Form einer großen Blütenzwiebel in schönem Lila. Der Durchmesser der Zwiebel kann bis zu 25–30 cm betragen! Der Zierlauch kommt am besten zwischen niedrigen Bodendeckern zur Geltung und kann auch als Schnittblume verwendet werden. Bienen und Schmetterlinge lieben sie! Den Zierlauch im Herbst pflanzen. Im Frühjahr erscheinen die Blüte.
Der Pflanze einen schönen Standort im Halbschatten oder in der Sonne geben. Zierlauch muss nicht gegossen werden, da Zierlauch trockenheitsresistent ist.
