Langlebig und robust ist das Urbanbike Dank seines Stahlrahmens. Sportlich wird es durch die 25 mm schmalen Reifen von CST und das insgesamt sehr leichte Eigengewicht von rund 12 kg. Das puristische Urbanbike wertet daher mit einigen Parallelen zu klassischen Rennrädern auf. Sein geringes Gewicht macht es nochmal mehr bestens tauglich für den Stadteinsatz, da es auch fix über Stufen oder ganze Treppen getragen werden kann.

Seine Ausstattung erinnert zudem an hippe Fixies, doch EXCELSIORs "Gaudy" hat nicht nur einen Gang, sondern verfügt über eine 2-Gang-Hinterrad-Nabe.
