Die Reben sind nach Südwesten exponiert und stehen auf Kalkstein, Ton und sandigen Böden. Luca macht alle seine Cru-Lagen-Weine gleich: relativ späte Lese, denn die vollständige phenolische Reife hat bei Roagna einen wichtigen Stellenwert, um diese unglaubliche Finesse und die geschliffenen, feinen Tannine zu erreichen. Nach der Gärung bleibt der Trester zwei weitere Monate lang im Kontakt mit dem Wein, bevor er abgezogen wird. Im Anschluss folgen 5 Jahre Ausbau, davon mindestens drei Jahre in großen Holzfässern, der Rest in Beton.

Überraschend zugänglich und fein. Luca betont, dass das der späten, reifen Lese zu verdanken sei. Seine Weine haben nie griffige oder gar trockene Tannine.
