Der CHROMA Schleifstein ST-1/6 mit Doppelkörnung #1000/#6500 ist ein vielseitiger Kombinations-Wasserstein für den kompletten Schärfprozess – vom Nachschärfen bis zum feinen Polieren. Er vereint zwei aufeinander abgestimmte Körnungen in einem Stein und ist damit ideal für die regelmäßige Pflege hochwertiger Küchenmesser.

Die Seite mit Körnung #1000 eignet sich hervorragend zum Schärfen leicht bis mäßig stumpfer Klingen. Sie stellt die Schneidkante zuverlässig wieder her und sorgt für eine gleichmäßige, scharfe Schneide. Die feine #6500er Seite dient anschließend dem Polieren und Abziehen der Klinge, reduziert den Grat und verleiht der Schneide eine besonders glatte und präzise Oberfläche.

Der Schleifstein wird als klassischer Wasserstein verwendet und sollte vor der Anwendung einige Minuten gewässert werden. Während des Schleifens entsteht eine feine Schleifschlämme, die ein gleichmäßiges und kontrolliertes Schleifergebnis unterstützt.

Dank seiner Kombination aus zwei Körnungen ist der ST-1/6 besonders platzsparend und effizient – ideal für Einsteiger und ambitionierte Anwender gleichermaßen. Die großzügige Arbeitsfläche ermöglicht ein komfortables Schleifen verschiedenster Messertypen.

Not great but not bad!
Format: Audiobook
I loved the audio and I'm so glad there were two narrators! I really loved the deconstruction rep in this book. It spoke to me in ways that felt real and authentic. I also liked the way the migraine/chronic illness was handled as well. The reason this is a 3 star to me is that I can't remember the characters names and I just finished this book. The first 50% was pretty forgettable. It was hard for me to get into that first half. The second half however, I really enjoyed! Courtney and Thea (yes I did just have to look up their names) could have used more fleshing out. Courtney's ex's threats felt like a nothing burger in the end and Courtney's running also didn't hit quite like I wish it had. The last 50% things finally get moving. These characters finally start sharing with each other and being open and vulnerable but there is still a big secret that get revealed that throws a wrench into the whole thing. Overall I did enjoy it!

Four and a half stars for this sapphic romance
Format: Paperback
I’m giving this book four and a half stars. There was a lot I really loved about it. The banter between the main characters is lovely, and there were several scenes that are just adorable. They’re complex characters though with their flaws and histories. They have depth. And how they react in a situation isn’t how you might react, but it’s right for that character. It felt truthful and in many ways relatable. I’ve got enough religious trauma that I can definitely relate, and although I’ve never been a catholic, I have what I think of as catholic guilt…in that I feel guilty for cutting my family out of my life despite the death threats, hateful comments, and constant hit my self esteem and mental health takes. I can even understand hiding physical health issues, because people definitely do treat you differently, also there’s trauma that goes back there too. I loved the play of the word stars used in the title, and how it fits both main characters so well. It’s super clever. I know some people were disappointed at this story, and I have to say that it left me going into the book feeling down about it, but instead I really enjoyed it (minus the breakup/not breakup). The ending was incredibly satisfying for me.

beautiful story

“With Stars in Her Eyes” is a beautiful book. The characters have dealt with and are dealing with some pretty heavy issues, especially Courtney. And for Courtney especially, her past has resulted in some pretty dysfunctional thinking and behavior (quite understandably). However, while the story deals with some heavy topics, there is also a lot of humor, wonder and joy. There are so many things to love about this story — the friendship between Thea and Marshall and between Courtney and Sam; the bookshop “pets” and how they are incorporated into the story; Ms. Jeannie (who is kind of intimidating); the banter between Thea and Courtney, especially all the innuendo (intentional or not); the legal food puns; the joy and appreciation Thea experiences with her photography, especially using the older cameras and techniques she learned from her grandfather; the discussion of the books Thea and Courtney like to read; the descriptive intimate scenes; the book clubs; the lyrics of Courtney’s songs, etc.

Strong sense of place and character😍

Burke really nails emotions. I did not grow up with religious trauma, but reading about Courtney made me feel like I did. I didn't have a family that treated me like the help just because I was following my own path, but reading Thea's POV made me believe I had. It's truly a gift when an author can establish such a strong sense of place and character. I can't wait to see what she does next.😍 4.5🌟
