Während man in den urbanistischen Debatten der vergangenen Jahre das Augenmerk hauptsächlich auf das Wachstum der Megapolen richtete, bilden sich parallel dazu Zonen der Schrumpfung, die von Bevölkerungsverlusten in Millionenhöhe und hoher Arbeitslosigkeit gekennzeichnet sind. Globalisierung und der Übergang zum Postsozialismus haben diesen Prozess, der in den westlichen Industrieländern mit der Suburbanisierung bereits früher eingesetzt hat, noch beschleunigt. Ausgehend von konkreten Fallbeispielen werden hier Ursachen und Dynamik von Schrumpfungsprozessen erstmals weltweit in den Blick genommen. Manchester/Liverpool (GB), Detroit (USA), Ivanovo (RUS) und Halle/Leipzig (D) stehen dabei im Zentrum einer internationalen Untersuchung, die sich auf die Lebensbedingungen und den kulturellen Wandel in von Bevölkerungsrückgang und wirtschaftlicher Schrumpfung geprägten Stadtregionen konzentriert. Perfect gift for little nephew

Young fella was asking for this book and I got it for him. He likes it and he’s very happy. That makes me happy as well. He says the illustrations and story are cool. That’s all I have to say about that. I guess this book falls in the same category as the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” book series. Wish I had these books when I was a young one. Only read Peanuts and Garfield on the weekend newspaper back in the days.

Purchased just because
Format: Hardcover
I bought this for my 9yr old he would watch them on YouTube and then I found this book. He read it in no time. I guess he liked it a lot, he didn't complain that he didn't. So if your kiddo enjoys watching them on YouTube then I'm pretty sure they will enjoy reading this book. Just being honest.

Reading is important

My son and I love this book it's the best book ,my son actually wanted the book and I ordered it for him. I couldn't believe he wanted a book I have to force him to read.so he read it each night until he feel asleep.so I hope the author of Miguel Diaz Rivas make more books for kids if he does I'll buy all of his books just so I can see my kid face light up and be proud of my son for reading.This author is making a difference in kids Life and also making the parents happy for getting there kids to read.
