The Bee-Friendly Varroa CO2 Injection Count Tester uses harmless carbon dioxide gas to accurately and easily count mites on your bees. No need to harm the bees, just gently shake them in the device and the mites will fall off and through the central grill for quick and convenient counting.

Usage instructions for CO2 varroa mite testing (see attached photo):

  1. Ensure that the CO2 Cartridge is correctly loaded into the injector.
  2. Turn the testing device up-right with the largest chamber is facing upwards.
  3. Remove the top lid to the largest chamber.
  4. Ensure that the central grill is in position correctly in the centre and seated on the inner supports.
  5. Place 200 bees into the main larger area of the canister (TIP: Filling bees up to the second red line will provide you approximately 200 bees.)
  6. Securely replace the lid back onto the canister
  7. Place the needle of the CO2 injector nozzle, through little hole on the side of the canister. Unlock the safety on the trigger and then press the trigger for approximately 4 to 6 Seconds.
  8. Remove the CO2 injector needle from the hole and then wait between 10 to 20 seconds. (Note: When used with a CO2 cartridge the bees and mites are anaesthetised and not killed)
  9. Keeping the canister upright and carefully shake the bees up and down to dislodge any mites into the yellow cap
  10. After 10 seconds of shaking remove the bottom cap and count up your mites
  11. Optional: Pour a small amount of alcohol into the cap to kill the mites before they awake
  12. Remove the top cap and pour the sleeping bees back into the colony (they will begin to awake after they get fresh air)

CO2 Mite Check Injector Advantages:

  • Bee-Friendly Varroa CO2 Injection Count Tester is easy to assemble and use
  • Fast process to sample the bees
  • Does not kill your bees, keeps the sample of bees alive
  • Uses standard CO2 cylinders (Available at most DIY and Bicycle Stores)
  • Research conducted in Europe indicated results similar in accuracy to an alcohol wash

Note: That this CO2 varroa tester method does not kill the mites so be sure to dispose of the mites properly and do not put them back in your hive!

Note: This product is not supplied with gas cylinders due to postage/shipping safety. However these CO2 cylinders can be easily purchased from DIY or Cycling stores.

Fresh, Clean Air — Excellent Quality Cabin Filter!
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
This premium HEPA‑rated filter does an outstanding job of keeping dust, pollen, and tiny airborne particles out of the cabin — much better than standard cabin filters. It’s designed and tested to meet true HEPA filtration standards, effectively capturing up to 99.97 % of particles down to 0.3 microns in size, so the air inside the car feels noticeably cleaner and fresher. Installation was straightforward and fit exactly in place in my vehicle with no modifications needed. The high‑quality filter media feels dense and well‑constructed, with built‑in structural support to help it hold its shape throughout its service life.

Must Buy HEPA Cabin Filter
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
Great filter and excellent Value! And, it’s a Bosch !!! Description and sizing were exactly as advertised. DIY install was easy and it fit my 2019 Highlander perfectly ! Filter is HEPA and well made and is a good thickness, so much better than the flimsy one the car dealership installed. Impressive ! Highly recommend!

A Lungful of Freedom
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
Dateline: The Passenger-Side Footwell of a Toyota Venza, Sunday Night. We spend our lives in sealed metal boxes, hurtling through a thick, invisible soup of our own collective filth. A foul cocktail of exhaust fumes, road dust, tire particles, and whatever strange, pollen-based miasma the world decides to throw at us on any given day. To breathe that poison in, unfiltered, is an act of slow, unwitting suicide. You need a line of defense. A gatekeeper for your own lungs. Enter the Bosch 6055C HEPA Cabin Air Filter. It is not a glamorous part. It is not a performance upgrade that adds horsepower or prestige. It is a simple, pleated rectangle of paper and charcoal, a humble guardian destined to live out its days in a dark plastic cave behind your glovebox. But its mission is a noble one. The replacement process is a moment of pure, unadulterated, five-minute victory over the dealership's service department. You pop open the glovebox, you unclip the old filter tray, and you pull out the old soldier. And what you find is a horror show. A grey, matted testament to the unseen war it has been fighting on your behalf, choked with leaves, dirt, and the ghosts of a thousand diesel trucks. It is the face of the enemy. You unwrap the new Bosch filter. It feels solid, well-made. The pleats are clean and numerous. I laid it side-by-side with the outgoing Denso filter—a brand that supplies the automakers themselves—and I could find no meaningful difference. The quality was equal. The construction, robust. This was no flimsy, cut-rate pretender. This was a serious piece of hardware from a serious company. You slide the clean, white Bosch into the tray, snap it back into its dark little home, and close the glovebox. The deed is done. You have performed a life-saving transplant on your vehicle's respiratory system in less time than it takes to listen to a single pop song. And the value… the value is the sweet, sweet punchline. For a fraction of what a dealership would charge you for the same simple service, you have installed a top-tier, HEPA-grade filter from one of the most respected names in the business. You have guaranteed yourself a clean, breathable bubble of personal space as you navigate the toxic jungle of the modern roadway. This is not just a filter; it's a small, affordable act of rebellion. It’s a declaration that you, and you alone, are the master of the air you breathe. It is a simple, effective, and profoundly satisfying piece of gear. Highly recommended.

Great Upgrade to your Cabin Filter. Fits 2018 Subaru Outback
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
This is a great filter upgrade to your cabin filter. This is better than the Subi standard part. Fits my Subaru outback. NOTE: Subi marks their filter with an 'up' arrow; however, this filter is marked with a 'airflow' direction. Direction of air flow is toward the blower motor so it will point downward when you install it.
