The Bel Air Sofa, designed by Luca Nichetto for Arflex, is a modern tribute to the refined, curved glamour of 1950s design, realized through contemporary Italian craftsmanship. It is a system defined by its sinuous lines and embracing, inviting form. The core of Bel Air is its soft, organic shapes. Gently curved backrests and armrests flow seamlessly, creating an inviting aesthetic reminiscent of vintage lounge seating. The substantial upholstered modules are lifted by a light, refined metal tubular structure. This thin frame provides visual lightness and contrasts beautifully with the soft volume of the cushions above. Bel Air is a highly flexible modular system. Concave, convex, and straight units can be combined to create unique, fluid arrangements, facilitating spontaneous seating compositions that encourage conversation and relaxation. In line with Arflex's heritage, the sofa offers deep, enveloping comfort.
