DESCRIPTION:
The DEI Bodywork Heat Protection Kit is a universal kit to help protect your machine's plastics. The kit includes materials to keep excess heat from melting plastic and frying bodywork. The DEI Bodywork Protection Kit is great for use with after-market exhaust systems. The kit also works on fairings, air boxes, seat pans, rear fenders, etc.
Reflect-A-Cool and Cool Tape is made of silver fiberglass and backed with a layer of aluminized reflective foil and has a temperature rating of 400°F Continuous, and 2000°F Intermittent.
Extreme Heat Barrier has a temperature rating of 1750°F Continuous, and 2000 Intermittent.
BARKER'S COMMENTS:
We highly recommended the DEI Bodywork Heat Protection Kit for 4WD machines like the Grizzly that have a lot of plastic covering up the engine and exhaust areas. It works great to protect the backside of your side panels from any excess heat. We also recommend to add some protection to keep heat away from your Fuel Tank and Intake Box. If you take your time, you can easily do a super nice job that looks like it was done from the factory and all it takes is a good set of scissors and a little time.
