Our dogs and cats utilize nutrients much more easily from whole foods. Their bodies easily recognize the food, break it down and then metabolize the nutrients. This is in direct contrast to synthetic ingredients found in most other supplements that the body does not easily recognize and require more energy to utilize. This is especially hard on the liver and kidneys and a majority of the synthetic substances wind up being eliminated in the urine. In addition, synthetic vitamins and minerals can have more of a drug effect on the body, which is why toxicity issues can result from their misuse.

Our formula contains certified USDA organic herbs. Research shows organic herbs have higher amounts of important nutrients as opposed to conventionally raised plants. Organic farming methods are also better for the environment and of course do not have the levels of residual pesticides that conventionally grown herbs can have. We also do not use wild crafted herbs in our formulas as this practice can damage wild populations of herbs and you do not necessarily know where the herbs are coming from or how they've been grown. What we don't use...
You may notice that our formula does not include less expensive ingredients like kelp and ground flax seed. There are important reasons for this. One is that too much kelp can effect the health of the thyroid gland and should not be consumed every day. And, since our oceans are so polluted, kelp can be very high in heavy metal contaminates like mercury. Concerning ground flax seed, the oils found in this ingredient are very delicate and after they are ground go rancid very quickly when exposed to oxygen. So, when you see this ingredient you can be fairly confident that the oils are rancid and when that is the case they become carcinogens when consumed. Both of these are inexpensive ingredients used quite often in the pet supplement market, just not by us.

USDA Organic Multinutrient Formula

Ginkgo Leaf - Substances called ginkgolides reduce platelet activating factor that is responsible for vasodilation (inner diameter of blood vessels) and platelet aggregation (sticky and clumping blood platelets). This helps to keep blood vessels healthy, increases blood flow and reduces the inflammatory response which benefits allergies, asthma, cerebral insufficiency, vertigo and tinnitus.

Hawthorn Berries - Flavonoids help to improve coronary circulation by dilating coronary arteries bringing more oxygen and nutrition to the heart thereby tonifying this important organ and helping to reverse age-related degeneration.

Oatstraw - An excellent source of protein, fiber, B vitamins, vitamin E , calcium, magnesium, manganese and flavonoids that make it a popular nervous system tonic for nervous, depressed and debilitated animals.

Astragalus Root - Astragalosides and other immune-modulating polysaccharides, beta-sitosterol, flavonoids and trace minerals, especially selenium, help to support specific and nonspecific immunity.

Ashwagandha Root - An Ayurvedic herb renowned as an adaptogen that helps the body adapt to stress while tonifying the major organ systems especially the thyroid and adrenal glands.

Broccoli Sprouts - We use certified organic, freeze-dried sprouts because this form retains its vitamin C content (more than strawberries) that is lost with other drying techniques that use heat. Broccoli sprouts have become very well known for their high content of the anti-cancer nutrient sulforaphane. Actually, these sprouts pack up to 100 times the amount of glucoraphanin (the precursor to sulforaphane) found in adult broccoli.

Barley Grass Juice Powder - Not to be confused with ordinary barley grass powder! This plant is rich in protein and contains 20 amino acids, 12 vitamins and 13 minerals. Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) - The aging process has been directly linked to decreasing amounts of SOD in our system. Increased amounts of SOD helps an animal's body to repair itself quicker and also acts as an anti-inflammatory.

P4D1 Enzyme - Has been found to do two things in the body. It is the first known substance to actually stimulate repair of DNA molecules. It is possible that disease cells can be repaired with P4D1 so that when they reproduce they will actually produce good cells. P4D1 has also been shown in laboratory tests to eat the protein sheath off a cancer cell so that the white blood cells can attack and destroy them.

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) - Nutrients that form an important component of the synovial fluid lubricant in joints, especially chondroitin sulfate which can be found in connective tissue, cartilage and tendons.

Provide one teaspoon (1 tsp) daily per 20 lbs. Divide equally between meals (for smaller pets where dividing the dosage would be difficult just place in one meal). Mix with a little water before adding to meal or when in food dish and then blend into food well. Use some special treat food if necessary (goat milk yogurt works well).
