COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Manage Organisational Change course. This program will equip you with the knowledge, analytical tools, and practical strategies required to understand, plan, implement, and support organisational change in dynamic business environments. You will explore what organisational change means, why change is necessary, and how organisations evolve through structured development processes. This course also examines the challenges, barriers, communication requirements, and people-focused strategies that enable organisations to transition successfully from their current state to a desired future state.

This course begins by examining what is meant by organisational change and why change must occur for organisations to remain relevant, competitive, and sustainable. You will explore the three stages of organisation development, the process of re-inventing the organisation, and how the status quo paradigm influences attitudes and behaviours during periods of transformation. This section also introduces the drivers of change, including the external pressures that organisations face, and explains how to use PEST analysis to determine the political, economic, social, and technological factors shaping the external environment.

You will then explore internal organisational pressures and indicators that signal the need for change. This includes understanding how poor performance is often demonstrated against statistical targets, how internal dissatisfaction develops when teams recognise inefficiencies, and how organisational barriers such as unclear objectives hinder progress. This section also explains why organisational goals must be cascaded throughout the organisation, how the cascading process works, and the consequences of unclear or poorly communicated objectives in organisational change.

Another part of the course examines the structural and communication-related challenges that affect change. You will explore how inappropriate organisational structures limit transformation, the disadvantages of poor communication, and the people barriers that arise when employees misunderstand or resist proposed changes. This section highlights how to interpret perceptions of change, how to address fear and uncertainty, and how change—when managed well—provides benefits to individuals, teams, and the organisation as a whole.

The next learning area focuses on analysing your organisation to diagnose readiness for change. You will explore the characteristics of organisational culture, how culture influences organisational change, and how to identify cultural enablers and blockers. This section also explains how to communicate change messages effectively, determine communication audiences, and tailor messages to support transparency, clarity, and trust.

A further focus is placed on managing people through change, examining how individuals respond emotionally and behaviourally to transformation. You will explore typical people reactions to change and learn the six-stage process individuals often experience when faced with disruption. This section also provides strategies for identifying and addressing people barriers, engaging key influencers, and ensuring that staff feel supported and valued throughout the change journey.

The course then introduces the strategic planning required to implement change. You will explore how to create a business plan for change, identify organisational culture accurately, and determine the people requirements needed to support new ways of working. This section also examines how to identify operational requirements—including inventory needs—and how to assess the financial requirements necessary for successful implementation and sustainability.

By the end of this course, you will be able to understand the rationale for organisational change, analyse internal and external environments, identify barriers, support people through transition, communicate change effectively, design organisational change plans, and guide your organisation through the stages of development required for long-term improvement and success.

Nice hoodie, very comfortable
Color: Misty Blue, Size: Medium
This hoodie feels lightweight and breathable which makes it good for golf, workouts, or just casual everyday wear. The fabric has a soft athletic feel and stretches enough to stay comfortable while moving around. It’s lighter than a standard sweatshirt, so it works better for layering or mild weather. I liked that it didn’t feel bulky while still giving some warmth during cooler mornings. The hood lays nicely and the material dries fairly quickly if you sweat in it. It also has a cleaner athletic look that pairs well with joggers, shorts, or golf pants without looking sloppy. One thing to note is it’s thinner than some people may expect from a hoodie, so it won’t replace a heavy sweatshirt in colder weather. The fit also runs slightly slim depending on build. Still, for sports, travel, or casual wear, it’s comfortable and easy to throw on without feeling heavy.

Great lightweight fabric, good design
Color: Grey Green, Size: Small, Color: Grey Green, Size: Small
This hoodie is a great athletic top. The size small fits my husband well, although it's a little loose in the arms. So if you have a leaner figure, you may find it a bit baggy. But the fabric is fantastic, a high-quality performance fabric that seems breathable and the UV protection is a great bonus. The sleeves are long enough to make good use of the thumb holes in cooler weather, and the color is a nice neutral, gray-green. For reference, the size small has a chest of about 42" (measured just under the sleeves) and a center back length of approx. 25".

Great Quality and Look
Color: Grey Green, Size: Medium
21st century materials are here to save us! :) M Maelreg does a great job utilizing those materials to the best of their ability. I've really become a fan of just about anything that they make, and this shirt is no exception. It's made from the very popular 88/12 Poly/spandex blend that has become ubiquitous in the fitness/active industry because of its amazing tensile characteristics- wicking, quick dry, UPF, and extra comfy against the skin. You get all of that here and a no-frills, really beautiful color to go along with a fit that is exactly true to size. I took the more form-fitting version for my 5'10" 175 lb. frame (I've found both L and M work from these guys, M for a more tailored look) and it's exactly right- enough room to move around comfortably and breathe, not so tight that it's hugging my belly. It's super lightweight and really easy to launder (I hang dry mine to prevent pilling and wrinkles), cold/low and a medium/low heat iron to rid those stubborn factory wrinkles and you shouldn't ever need to iron it again. Another great offering from the folks at Maelreg.

Just like the big brands!
Color: Light Dark Blue Grid, Size: 3X-Large
This hoodie is very good quality. I would say it compares to many of the Columbia or Northface type. The only problem that I encountered was that the sleeves are very long, but that might be a me problem because I am pretty short. The hoodie is very lightweight so it can even be worn on semi warm days and really is mostly used as a form of sunblock. I feel like the sizing is very true to size and if anything there’s a little extra room. The price is just right since it’s much less expensive than the big brands and it holds up after being washed several times. It’s very comfortable and breathes very nicely as well.

Size: XX-Large, Color: Blue Denim Stripe
Great shirt. My husband is 6’4 and finding off the rack clothes is difficult. This brand has a very good fit. Fabric is light and airy. I recommend this shirt and this brand.
