The Lady Galala suspension lamp (designed by PeluffoAdriatico for Martinelli Luce) is a playful, sophisticated departure from traditional lighting. It was inspired by the layers of a dress and the shifting colors of the sea and sun at Mount Galala in Egypt. The Lady Galala suspension lamp isn’t just one lamp—it’s a compositional system. It consists of an internal support that holds three different-sized conical diffusers in varying colors, allowing the user to "dress" the lamp in different ways. You can stack the diffusers in different orders and colors (sun yellow, ocean blue, white, or orange) to create a totally unique silhouette. It provides direct downward lighting for tables and a soft, diffused glow that filters through the colored resin layers. The colors are designed to evoke a Mediterranean sunset, making it feel warm and atmospheric even when turned off.
