That is a round steel plate or circular blade full of sharp teeth that tear through the wood. Every blade has unique features regarding the number of teeth and geometry of the sharpening. Each manufacturer has its own configuration and design ideas. Some view circular saws as more ideal for rough carpentry than for fine woodworking. That is not true at all. In the right hands, circular saws cut straight, clean lines. But a lot depends on the blade you use. The difference between blades is their teeth design. Ripping blades have fewer evenly spaced teeth, while crosscut blades have more teeth and specific geometry ground onto each tooth. Combination blades have 50 teeth and 10 deep gullets to handle ripping as well as cross-cutting requirements. They generally have a heavier blade body for maximum stability. Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance

Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included.
Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some!
This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them.

Beautiful, functional, and perfect for a stylish coffee bar
I absolutely love this scale. As someone who cares about both function and aesthetics, this was exactly what I was looking for. Great scale, an excellent buy

Is it possible to fall in love with a scale? I unboxed this one and, without reading any directions, put an empty 1/4 cup on it, turned the scale on, filled the 1/4 cup with coffee beans till I had the desired 17 or so grams, and turned the scale off. Easy-peasy! It’s small but sensitive, able to tell when a single bean has been added or removed. I almost didn’t get it because of the charging issue, but at least it tells you what the current charge is, and the way I use it I believe it will last several months without recharging. I’m so glad I bought this scale!

Simple yet easy must have for discerning coffee drinkers
Color: Black&Silver
I seem to never get the same results from my coffee machine and it varied even more with the new brand that we just bought. I now have to make more adjustments with the water temperature, based on age, type of beans, etc. That affects the amount of ground dispensed and consistency in the shot until I get a new batch dialed in.
So the only way to regulate these changes is to weigh both the beans and water. Using this little scale has made things easier, less frustrating and more predictable.
What’s awesome is that it will automatically begin the timer with the first drop and stop when the pressure remains constant.
Simple yet easy and super convenient. If you are looking for a great little digital scale this should do the trick. Highly recommended.
