How To Hire A Wetsuit

Wetsuit Sizing

• Zone3 Small: Approx Age: 8-10 | Height (cm): 126-136 | Weight (kg): 26-32
• Zone3 Medium: Approx Age: 10-12 | Height (cm): 134-147 | Weight (kg): 30-40
• Zone3 Large: Approx Age: 12-14 | Height (cm): 146-162 | Weight (kg): 40-50

In addition to the manufacturers sizing, we have measured the wetsuits to help choose the correct size.
Size 8/10 Shoulder to Seam 54cm, Waist 54cm, Inseam 56cm (Height guide 126-136)
Size 10/12 Shoulder to Seam 60cm, Waist 60cm, Inseam 57cm (Height guide 134-147)
Size 12/14 Shoulder to Seam 66cm, Waist 64cm, Inseam 63cm (Height guide 146-162)

Triathlon-specific wetsuits are designed to be a snug fit. A wetsuit will expand approximately half of one size, once you get into the water with it on. The torso length (shoulder to seam above, measure from the top of shoulder to crotch seam diagonally across the front of the body)  is the most important measurement if you are in between sizes. Here are a few tips to help select the correct size:

• If they have longer legs and a shorter torso, subtract 2 cm from their height.
• If they have shorter legs and a longer torso, add 2 cm to their height.
• If they have a larger chest and/or shoulders, add 2kg to your child’s weight.

If the wetsuit is very comfortable on the land, then the chances are it's too big for you and will scoop up water when you start to swim. Practising in a wetsuit in the weeks prior to a race is very important and will allay any fears you may have.

Wetsuit Delivery

The last day you can place an order is the Friday a week before your required date. We cannot guarantee availability if you order later than this. We will contact you immediately if we do not have your wetsuit.

We ship at least 2 days before your specified hire start date. If you're hiring a wetsuit at the last minute, we will do everything we can to get the wetsuits to you in time but cannot be responsible for any delays.

Delivery of a wetsuit within the UK is £8. Take care of this box/packaging, as the wetsuit must be returned in the same box.

Returning Your Wetsuit

You can choose any method/carrier you wish to return the wetsuit and are responsible for return shipping cost. All wetsuits must be returned before or within 2 days of your hire end date (wetsuits must be clean, dry, with a copy of your order receipt enclosed).

Hire end dates are either 14 days or 28 days after your nominated start date (in the Checkout) for the 14 day or 1 month hire respectively. Full Season hire end date is 31st of October 2018.

If you believe you have specified the wrong size, please contact us. There is a nominal charge of £8 included to cover our packing, checking and inspection/restocking on return. Wetsuit Hire is only available to UK customers.

Wetsuit Damaged or Dirty

Any damage, however minor will reduce the value of the wetsuit. In-line with Industry standard practice, we reserve the right to charge you for cleaning (£10) or repair (£10 per nick/cut). Wetsuits returned clean and undamaged will not be charged further! We will always contact you before making any charge.

If you notice any tears or rips contact us and we can discuss what the charges might be. Sometimes a balance price to purchase the wetsuit, may work out cheaper than repairing.

You will always receive a new or nearly new, fully functioning Zone3 wetsuit.

Option To Buy or Extend Hire

If you wish, you have the option to buy your wetsuit (*subject to availability) and we will simply deduct your hire fee. The balance to pay will be our current new price, minus your hire fee. The nominal charge of £8 to cover our packing and courier costs is not refundable if you decide to buy after hire. You can also extend the hire duration by paying the difference in cost.
