Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.

A special version of the techo which includes quotes and images from the manga "One Piece". The theme is Dialogue. Words that are exchanged between comrades, enemies, family and rivals are meticulously selected and printed onto the daily page spreads. Additionally, birthdays of all established characters are featured. The bonus pages at the back of the techo are also specially made for this version. You can pair this book with a techo cover (sold separately).
