Now you can enjoy the flexibility of setting up your fitout exactly to suit yourself. Ronstan is the only company that offers a 40mm ratchet block with both auto and manual engagement models*
With automatic models, the ratchet mechanism engages when load is applied, but switches off when it's released. This lets the sheet run out smoothly and freely-great for rapid easing of the sheet and for gybing asymmetric spinnakers.
Manual modes allow the ratchet mechanism to be switched on or off as required. This is the preferred mainsheet set-up for may top sailors.

Awesome ratchet block holding power
Quite simply, Ronstan Ratchet Orbit Blocks™ have the highest holding power available. The sophisticated NC-machined sheave features Generation 2 of our patented sheave cross-hole geometry. The Series 40 delivers up to 14:1 holding ower, almost double that of our nearest competitor.
The unique sheave design has 8 gripping faces which directly resist loaded line movement. Traditional designs have an angled resistance to line movement. Our Generation 2 design has straight resistance faces which both distribute the load and minimize rope wear. These faces are offset from the radial line, to draw the rope down into the gripping area when under load.
Simple and secure attachment
The Dyneema® Link is easily fitted and is retained securely by a molded retainer clip. The flexible link can be left with one end attached to the block when fitting - no more lost shackle pins.
The system is compatible with Dyneema®/Spectra® strops, webbing and carbon connection points - much more so than steel loop tops or shackles.
Smooth easing of sheets
With auto models the sheet runs out smoothly and freely as soon as the ratchet mechanism disengages. When engaged, and with manual models, the sheave cross - hole geometry eliminates the 'shuddering' ease-out that you can expect from traditional v-groove ratchet blocks.
Low profile stand-up kit allows 0° or 90° alignment
Stand-up kits feature a clatter-free rubber boot. You can attach the Dyneema® link so that the block is aligned with the stand-up base or across it. It's a neat low-profile solution which allows full articulation.

Overall a great pillow

I slept on it last night and I do think I’ll like it. I was used to a memory foam pillow, son this will be a change. My reason for 4 stars is because the zipper barely opens and my husband and I tried everything short of ruining the pillow. In the end I had to stuff extra stuffing into a pretty small hole. Nothing seems wrong with the zipper but I saw another review said they couldn’t add more filling. If they fix that issue then I’d rate it 5. Yes it is soft but it doesn’t go flat and if you adjust and add some more under your head it doesn’t shift. I do recommend if you like a plush pillow.

excellent medium consistency pillow

Pillow is medium firmness with extremely uniform compression consistency. i have a very particular desire for something not too hard or too soft and this is the sweet spot... more stuffing is provided so you can add (or remove) some if needed to get what you like...i didnt need to but liked to have that option. also the feel of the cover is nice.

I’m 50 and peri has been kicking my butt lately, so temperature management of my head (as that is the only thing effected by my hot flashes) has been an ever pressing project that I’ve been managing for the last 3-4 years. Hot sleeping has always been one of my curses, so adding perimenopause to the mix has been my own special hell. But Dyson fans, keeping the bedroom window cracked, and lots of all cotton gauze blankets have been imperative for me in the night. Pillows have always been pillowing, they just get warm and flipping them all night long is just finding the least hot version. I even keep 2 pillow choices on the bed while I sleep, and 2 more an arm’s length away on the chest at the bottom of the bed. Silk pillowcases are great for my hair and skin but they don’t keep cool. THESE PILLOWS, complete with the Beckham cooling pillowcases are chef's kiss. They feel like they’ve been in the fridge. Literally. Now do they stay that way, of course not. But they’re cool enough for me to fall asleep. And if I wake, I use the other side. And if I keep another on standby, I am literally finding the cool side of the pillow all night long. I’m not exaggerating either. These pillows are cool WITH the cooling pillowcases. You can’t use a pillow protector though, even if it’s cotton. It will ruin the effect. And you must use the cooling pillowcases. Do both, and you won’t be disappointed.

Terrible update to a good pillow

Purchased this as I was looking to replace tbe previous Beckham hotel pillows I had purchased before. When I saw "newer model available" I ordered it. Wish I had just ordered the same ones as before. First off this was only 1 pillow, not the 2 pack. Since I was only replacing 1 pillow I decided to use it. Huge mistake, my neck has been sore almost everyday. The support of this pillow is terrible, even with trying to added and remove some fill to adjust it. Nothing seems to make a difference. Avoid it and order a different model. Wish I had sent it back for a refund when I got it.
