About the work

Gavin Jantjes has created a new etching in three colours especially for Whitechapel Gallery to accompany ‘Gavin Jantjes: To Be Free! A Retrospective 1970 - 2023’ 12 Jun - 1 Sep 2024.

The edition, relates to Jantjes' recent paintings from his Kirstenbosch (2023-ongoing) series, named after the national botanic garden in Cape Town. Its title 'Succulent Night' evokes for Jantjes a section of Kirstenbosch Gardens, which holds a large variety of succulent plants. It is full of magically shaped vegetation that hug the ground and have developed ways of surviving the harshest of climates in South Africa. They are proud resilient plants and beautiful to look at. They transform in the dark.

Perfect!
Color: Blue, Size: 9x10 FT (1~8 person), Color: Blue, Size: 9x10 FT (1~8 person)
First off, this thing is HUGE! I love that the side pockets fill with sand to keep from flying away and how easy it is to stuff back in and put away.. Its definitley machine wash safe (use cool water to prevent the material from getting messed up) and it doesn't get that wet towel smell if being used multiple times during a trip.. It's been camping and beaching LOL.. Would buy again when this one needs to be replaced.

Lightweight, compact, and super easy to pack. Sand shakes right off and it dries quickly, which is perfect for the beach.

Working well for my home physical therapy follow-up needs
Color: Assorted
These bands work well for me to continue my physical therapy regimen at home. I have only owned them for a few weeks but the quality seems to be good for my usage. Just keep in mind I am using these for PT, not for any advanced or lofty strengthening goals.
