With the help of Computer-Aided Design, the team behind the Santa Cruz Shredder were able to put right the common misperception that has driven all grinder design: that sharp-edged teeth are the best tool for grinding herb. Their discovery: sharp-edged teeth become dull with time, and often break, contaminating herb with tiny flakes of aluminium. The unique square and blunt tooth design of the Santa Cruz Shredder cuts herb in multiple ways, without slicing or smashing it, but instead fluffing it to perfection every time, and is guaranteed for life.
The Santa Cruz Shredder's magnets are super-strong Neodymium Diametrically Magnetized Cylindrical Rare Earth Magnets, Nickel-Copper-Nickel triple layer coated for maximum durability and protection against abuse & corrosion, and again, guaranteed for life. The more pronounced "knurled" grip of the Santa Cruz Shredder allows for an improved grip, so that the grinder is easier to rotate.
Totally scratch resistant thanks to its anodized aluminium surface, and free of contaminants from the manufacturing process due to strict medical grade ultrasonic cleansing procedures, the Santa Cruz Shredder is entirely made in California, USA.
