"A youthful, varietal and complex bouquet with aromas of dark cherry and barrel spices, olive and dried herb, crush stone mineral soil suggestions, clove, smoke and a core of pinosity. New, youthful, tasty, complex and quite delicious on the palate. Red fruits flavours touch the palate first, but are quickly superseded by textures from tannins, acidity and wood smoke flavours and textures. Tannins are medium+ in intensity as is the acidity, the core of fruit coats the palate easily reflecting the darker cherry and berries suggested by the bouquet. A young wine with a taut texture - needing time to age, harmonise more and get ready. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, 2022

Concentrated aromas of red and black fruits overlay a background of dried herbs, spice and cedar. To taste, the flavor profile is a combination of savoury and spice notes, rich and ripe flavors, all without losing precise pinot noir detail. Tannins are firm but integrated, leaving a lasting impression of texture, concentration and not least; definitive vineyard and southern Marlborough clays character.

Fruit was sourced from our two clay bound vineyards (Gum Emperor and Somerset blocks) in the southern Waihopai Valley.

Like 2017, Vintage 2018 was truly a mixed bag. Early in the season we had settled and very warm weather however later in the season there were challenges with several rain events and periods of cool weather. Judicious use of leaf plucking, and canopy management pre-vintage allowed us to dry out and successfully ripen the fruit after these events. As a result, we generally picked physiologically ripe fruit that was at a slightly lower Brix level resulting in soft elegant wines showing ripe succulent flavors.

Multiple clones of 777, 667, 115, 114, UDC5, 10/5, 943 and Able were hand harvested over a 12-day period commencing on the 7th of March 2018.

Each parcel of handpicked fruit was gently destemmed into small open top fermenters retaining a large proportion of whole berries. A pre-fermentation soak averaging 5 days preceded a warm and rapid indigenous fermentation where temperatures spiked between 30-33 °C. All batches were hand plunged as per winemaker’s instruction. Post primary fermentation the young wines averaged 14 days on skins totaling up to 30 days before being pressed to a mixture of new and older French oak barrels for natural malolactic fermentation and maturation. Early February each batch was gently removed from barrel, tasted and assessed before blending and preparation for bottling early March 2019.

Thought it was a good idea but not for my dog
Color: Blue
Seemed great but my dog continued to bark at it. Finally she hid it and I haven’t looked for it.

Durability
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
won’t give this product 1 star because my dog still had a good time with it for a few hours. After opening and preparing it, I gave it to my dog and it definitely caught his interest. However, when he chewed on it, plastic pieces started breaking off and he began swallowing them. This product is definitely not suitable for aggressive chewers.

Winner !!!
Color: Orange
This amazed us. For perspective, we're talking about a three year old white german shepherd who if he's in the mood, has and can kill a toy within minutes or oddly enough be gentle with furry balls and carry them around as if they are his babies. He's an odd duck. Anyway, since he was a pup, and to this day, he'll play and entertain himself, he'll grab a ball, throw it up in the air, then pounce on it as if it's from outer space. It's really quite cute and funny. Because of those two things I was looking for something interactive that would entertain him and confuse him....let's be honest, watching a confused dog is one of life's great pleasures. I tried two other interactive balls and they were crushed immediately. After reading a lot of reviews, people with german shepherds said this ball actually had a life span. I thought the third time could be the charm and ordered one. Well, I think it actually may be from outer space because he's obsessed with it and hasn't taken a bite out of it. He hasn't once chewed it or even teared little pieces off. The three settings are great. Sometimes he likes one better than another, then forgets about the others. I'll change it up to one he hasn't seen in a while and the whole game starts over again. He'll throw it up in the air as he does with his others, watch it and try to figure out which way it's going to go. And yes, he will pounce on it if he times it right. The size is perfect, it's heavier than your average ball but, that's what make it sturdy. I have to sneak it away when he isn't paying attention to charge it, otherwise he'll sit, stare and cry if he knows it's on the counter charging. It's a lot of fun for all of us. I'm so happy I bought it...... I say give this ball a chance even if you have a beast with killer instincts. I'm buying another for a friends 2 year old golden retriever granddog. Thank you Cheerble.
