COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Childhood Physical Development & Learning course. This program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to understand how children’s bodies grow, how movement and physical skills develop, and how these processes underpin learning, wellbeing, and engagement across the early years. Throughout this course, you will learn how to recognise typical patterns of physical development, identify potential concerns, and design practical, play-based experiences that support both healthy growth and rich learning.

The course begins by examining why childhood physical development is so important and how it connects directly to children’s overall wellbeing. You will explore the links between physical development and physical health, including the importance of regular physical activity, the risks associated with inactivity, and the relationship between movement, mental and emotional fitness, and resilience. You will then consider how children learn through hands-on experience, how physical development supports intellectual development, and why active exploration, manipulation, and movement are so critical for building understanding, confidence, and independence.

You will then follow the developmental progression of physical skills from infancy through the early primary years so that you can observe and support children more intentionally. The course traces physical development from baby to child, including key developmental milestones and the way growth is measured over time. You will look at the senses and physical control of babies up to one year old, the emerging movements of toddlers from one to two years, and how toddlers’ fine physical skills are directly applied to support other aspects of development such as self-help, communication, and play. You will also examine the movements of young children from two to five years and from five to eight years, and consider how physical skills, exploration, and learning evolve as children gain balance, judge their movements, and negotiate increasingly complex tasks. Alongside this, you will analyse the limitations of bodily awareness in children, the idea of schemas in early movement and play, differences between right- and left-handed children, and the impact of disability, ill health, and dyspraxia on physical development and participation.

The course then explores how to harness physical development as a powerful vehicle for learning, particularly in the earliest years. You will investigate learning opportunities within physical activities and how learning is embedded within physical development across routine care, play, and exploration. You will consider appropriate activities for under-threes, recommended play materials for babies, and the importance of providing sufficient space for babies and toddlers to move around, roll, crawl, pull up, and explore safely. You will also examine what is meant by “early learning”, the role of exploratory play, and how children learn through treasure baskets and heuristic play, using everyday objects and open-ended resources to experiment, problem-solve, and make sense of the world.

Building on this foundation, the course then focuses on physical play and activities for children over three and their role in more complex learning. You will explore appropriate physical play experiences for preschool and early school-age children, including structured and unstructured movement, climbing, balancing, and cooperative games. You will examine the importance of music and dance, constructional play, and practical participation in the daily routine of your setting as ways for children to build physical competence, coordination, and social skills. You will also consider how toddlers and young children benefit from hands-on arts and crafts activities that refine fine motor skills, and why outdoor play is essential for health, attention, and learning. This will include ideas for using the outdoors in varied weather and a focus on why weather should not be used as an excuse to restrict children’s outdoor play when safe alternatives can be arranged.

Finally, the course links physical development and activity to attention, concentration, and emerging learning challenges. You will explore the relationship between activities and children’s attention, including how well-chosen physical and sensory experiences support the development of sustained focus. You will examine how attention develops in children over time and consider the characteristics of attention deficit disorder alongside other causes of attention difficulties, such as fatigue, stress, sensory issues, and mismatches between activities and developmental stage. This will help you think more holistically about children who appear inattentive or restless and consider how changes to physical activity, the environment, and expectations can support better engagement.

By the end of this course, you will be able to explain why physical development and movement are central to children’s health, learning, and emotional wellbeing, and describe typical physical milestones from infancy to early school age. You will understand how sensory, motor, and balance skills develop, how disability and conditions such as dyspraxia can affect participation, and how to design age-appropriate physical and play experiences that promote both development and learning. Most importantly, you will be equipped to use physical activity, indoor and outdoor environments, and everyday routines to create rich, engaging opportunities for exploration, problem-solving, and attention, while responding thoughtfully to children who need additional support with their physical development or focus.

Everything you need for your robot maintenance
Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories, Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories
Automatic floor robots are a great convenience and, at this point, I can't picture our house without one. Being able to turn them on at night and wake up to vacuum and mopped floors is pretty amazing. The problem is that you eventually have to do maintenance on them to keep them running. I guess it's not that much to ask of you since they do go for a long time with only water refills and waste water dumps. It's hard to find kits that are comprehensive enough to cover all the needs, so when I saw this one, I had to pick it up. The kit contains multiples of every consumable on the Roborock (ours is named Mrs. Nesbit). It also comes with a screwdriver and a blade/brush to clean dirt and hair. The small spinning brush is easy to replace, and the only one you need the screwdriver for. The mopping pad functional on the Roborock is one of my favorite features, so having multiple replacements makes this kit very attractive. They simple peel off of the Velcro and lay back the same. The split rollers take a minute to figure out, but you don't need to loosen the screws - they pull right off the U shaped plastic pieces they are attached to, but keep track of which goes with which color because each plastic piece only goes back on its correct side. The easiest to replace is the filter on the dust bin in the robot since it just pops out and the new one fits in. The lasts step is to replace the dust bag in the base itself, which is very simple. Overall, the quality and fit of all the pieces included in this kit were great. I didn't run across anything that was off or I had to force on. While my pads and brushes weren't as bad as my other vacuum (named The Beast), the vacuum had been warning me that their life was coming to an end and I needed to swap them out. Now I have multiple replacements for the future and my Roborock is good to go for many months. I will be picking this kit up again when I run out and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it at this price point.

Good Budget Replacement Set, but Mop Pads Differ from Original
Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories
These replacement accessories fit my Roborock Qrevo S5 without any issues. I run my robot daily because I have a dog, so I go through mop pads pretty quickly and have already used this set for a couple of cleaning runs around the house on vinyl floors. The bags seal properly, and I did not notice any loss of suction or performance with the filters compared to the original parts. The biggest difference was the mop pads themselves. They feel noticeably different from the OEM Roborock ones and seem a bit lower in quality. Even so, they still got the job done for normal daily cleaning and handled pet hair and dirt well. Since the original pads also wear out for me after multiple washes, this set still feels like a practical and more affordable alternative overall.

Not as good as the oem accessories
Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories, Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories
I have a roborock saros 10r and all of these accessories seem to be compatible and work with my robovac however the quality of them isn’t nearly the same level. The mop pads material are much coarser and less fine than the original. The side brushed bristles weren’t nearly as tightly bound together. The roller brush isn’t as well made. The cleaning performance I think is similar but i suspect they will not last as long as the oem accessories which are just much better made. Over it’s a mix on value.

All the parts needed to maintain your Roborock robot, with a great fit and finish.
Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories, Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories
This is a great consumable parts replacement package for many Roborock robots. I utilized it for my Saros 10R. The parts all fit great and honestly look and feel just like the OEM parts that came with the robot. Over time, I have purchased new consumable parts for my Saros 10R from various sources, but I think that I will be using this kit in the future. The kit comes with everything one needs to maintain Roborock robots, as outlined in its description. The main brushes are of good quality and fit well. I have found that the main brushes and the filter fit are the hardest things for third-party vendors to duplicate, and these do that well. What I like most is the mop heads. They are of very good quality and may be better than the OEM mop heads. Everything in this kit fits well and mimics the manufacturer's parts closely in both quality and fit. Compared to the cost of Roborock OEM parts, this is a home run.

Nice Value Replacement Kit for the Qrevo CurvX, Brushes Slightly Less Dense Than OEM
Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories, Color: Saros 10r-20/Qrevo Curvx Accessories
All of the included items fit my Roborock Qrevo CurvX nicely, and the material quality is fairly close to the OEM parts. I also liked the quantity of each item included, since it should be quite a while before I need to buy another replacement kit. The only downside I noticed was that the main roller brushes have about 1/4 fewer bristles than the OEM versions, so they don't seem quite as dense. Other than that, everything fits as expected and the kit seems like a solid value for maintaining the CurvX.
