Since the 1800s, the Camut family has grown apple trees in the Pays d’Auge, the finest growing region for Calvados. In Normandy, 800 types of apples are grown; the Camut family grow about 25 of these, favoring historic varieties endemic to the region that produce richer, less volatile spirits than are commonly found in the region. The apples are hand-harvested at optimum maturity between October and mid-December on the 45-hectare estate, which is planted with hautes-tiges orchards (tall trees from standard rootstock planted wide apart) that are fertilized and aerated by Limousin cows. While pears are allowed in Calvados production in the Pays d’Auge, only apples grown on the Camut property are used in Camut Calvados, and nothing is reserved for cider production. After crushing and pressing, the juice undergoes long fermentation, resting in oak barrels for 10–11 months. In September, the cider is double-distilled on the property’s two, wood-fueled copper pot stills (one of which is 75 years old) and proofed with rainwater. Large vats and tonneaux are filled no higher than 75% to speed evaporation and remove volatile components from the young brandy. No new barrels are used; most originated in Limousin and are an average 50 years of age. During its first few years of aging, Camut Calvados is frequently transferred between vessels to promote oxidation. Even older brandy is exposed to air at least once a year to allow for a constant exchange of oxygen, gradual reduction, and concentration of the brandy; more brandy is lost to evaporation than this coveted estate bottles each year. The blends are as natural as possible; time alone has mellowed these rich, lush spirits.

Terrible pillows
Size: Queen - Pack of 2, Style: Medium, Configuration: Pillow
These pillows might be fine if you need them for a decorative sham, but definitely NOT to sleep on. They are super lumpy and soft, days after taking them out of package. It seems like there are just bunches of cotton strips in a row that are hard to fluff. They are also dark in some areas, so it looks like the pillow is stained, when in fact it's whatever material the stuffing is. I can't return them because they won't fit back in the box. Super disappointing.

Comfortable from the first night
Size: Queen - Pack of 2, Style: Medium, Configuration: Pillow
I found them comfortable and with good support for the head and neck. They are wide in size and feel soft when lying down. After several days of use they continue to retain their shape without problem.

Not as Firm as I had hoped
Size: Queen - Pack of 2, Style: Medium, Configuration: Pillow
A good pillow.
However, there is quite a difference between the manufacturer's and my idea of "medium firmness". I found this pillow much softer than I had anticipated.
I'll have to go for firmer for my next purchase.

I admit when I was wrong.
Size: Queen - Pack of 2, Style: Medium, Configuration: Pillow
3/29/26 - I took the pillows and put them in my dryer on steam refresh for the default 10 minute cycle.
OMG - they fluffed up and evened out to be soft and comfortable, no lumps whatsoever. If you like a soft pillow with some support, but not firm support, THIS is what you want. I am truly amazed.

Previous review---They arrived in a vacuum seal bag. When you cut the bag and they inflate, they inflate lumpy like. Some areas are thick and some have to fill so, not very good. I am going to try washing them and drying them to see if they fluff up better.
Will post the results in a day or two.
