Itz A Stitch

Rolling Rock Club was originally 12,000 acres (4,900 ha) of land owned by Judge Thomas Mellon, who left it to his son Richard Beatty Mellon, brother of Andrew Mellon and onetime president of Mellon Bank. Richard Beatty Mellon turned Rolling Rock into a rural retreat for his friends and family to hunt, fish, and ride. From this it steadily developed into an establishment that, in addition to the usual country club necessities — swimming pool and golf course — also boasted stocked trout streams, duck ponds, game birds and shooting ranges. The Club also kept a pack of English fox hounds, raising pheasants, and running the Gold Cup Steeplechase (from 1933 until 1983). R.B. Mellon left the estate to his son, Richard King Mellon, when he died in 1933. In the middle years of the twentieth century, Rolling Rock Club hunted over 75,000 acres (30,000 ha), mostly owned by 240 farmers whose acres surround the Mellon 18,000 acres.

Currently, Rolling Rock is the most exclusive country club in Pennsylvania

The golf course at Rolling Rock Club in Laughlintown, Pennsylvania, was designed by Donald Ross and was built as a nine hole course in 1917. The club opened nine new holes, designed by Brian Silva, in May 1997. The course totals 6,176 yards from the back tees. With only two water hazards in the form of environmentally sensitive areas, there are plenty of sand bunkers. The greens are undulating, and the fairways are tree lined.

The Hunt Stables were designed by Pittsburgh architect Benno Janssen and originally built in 1921 to house 28 stalls, a tack room, veterinarian's area, grooms' quarters, food storage, equipment rooms and a great round room where trophies and ribbons were displayed. With an intent to preserve the landmark of its heritage, in 1984 the building was converted into private condominiums, preserving as much of the existing architecture as possible. Every unit has its own entrance, individual identity and is autonomous with respect to neighboring units. Vestibules and fenestrated entrance hall additions were designed to increase area to an average of 2,400 square feet (220 m2) per unit. The private resort also features overnight accommodations.

Really great ball
Our yo German Shepard loves this ball. She can get hold of it on all sides. Really a tough toy. Hasn’t chewed it up. Loves to toss it herself.

Brilliant Ball
This is my dog, Sunnie, favorite toy besides a mostly flat basketball. The toy has some weight to it, but it isn’t too heavy for her (she’s a husky mix, maybe 25lbs and is 6-months old). The ball is the perfect size for medium and large dogs, has a lot of bounce, and is easy for Sunnie to pick up with her mouth because the open holes. The quality is good, worth more than it costs. It’s easy to clean. I’d buy many more, but this ball seems like it’ll last a lifetime.

Almost indestructible would recommend
I have owned the Monster K9 Indestructible Ball for one and a half years, and it has proven to be the most durable ball I have used for my German Shepherd. Out of all the balls we have tried, this one has lasted the longest under frequent, heavy chewing. Although my dog has finally managed to chew through it, I remain very satisfied with the product’s overall longevity and performance. I would definitely recommend purchasing this ball to other dog owners, especially those with strong chewers. It has provided exceptional play value over an extended period of time. One area for improvement is the warranty process. While the product advertising mentions a free replacement, there is no clear guidance on how to submit a claim, and I found it difficult to locate that information. Providing straightforward instructions for warranty claims would enhance the overall customer experience. Overall, this is a high-quality, long-lasting ball that I would recommend, particularly for large or powerful dogs.

So far, so good!
Finally! A toy my 55 pound, 18 month old puppy hasn’t destroyed in minutes, and one she actually LOVES playing with. It has a really cool bounce and she loves chasing it and it’s easy for her to grab and run back to me with. So glad it wasn’t another waste of money. My only suggestions are to make this in a fun color other than black, and to make other just as strong toys besides a donut (she already has 2 other donuts from different companies which surprisingly have weathered her jaws) and add a squeaker to one of these ultra strong toys. More than chasing the ball, she loves squeaking!
