Mini Coastal Terrarium

Terrariums feature a stunning variety of baby collectors Air Plants and bring to life the magic, wonder and environment of a miniature coastal scene.

Each one is unique, featuring two Air Plants, river stones, pebbles, and natural timbers, to give you your own little world to care for and enjoy for years to come.

Each terrarium is unique, and no two are ever the same. Although similar and equally as stunning, the pictures shown here are indicative only.

Because they're alive and there's glass and coral and pebbles and soil involved we can't ship these around as we normally would. We'll hand deliver them across the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula and across greater Melbourne.

 

Our collab terrariums include two Air Plants and a natural wooden base.

 

Size.
Glass terrarium is about 14cm wide x 12cm high.

Position.
Terrariums love medium and bright filtered light positions, away from direct sun. It is important to keep your terrarium away from all direct sunlight, or warm north or west facing windows in summer - as the terrarium will amplify the suns strength, causing your terrarium to overheat, and plants to die.

Low light areas will not provide sufficient sunlight for happy healthy growth.

Rotate your terrarium regularly, to ensure plants on all sides receive adequate light.

 

Care.

The best thing about terrariums is they need minimal care! Water sparingly, being careful not to over water.

We recommend removing your air plant from the terrarium once a month, and giving a good soak, fully submerged in a bowl for around 10 - 15 minutes. Remove your air plant and return to the terrarium.

You can mist your air plant instead, which we would recommend roughly fortnightly.

If your air plant has dry, brown foliage, then more regular/thorough watering is required.

 

General Care.

• Be sure to remove any dead or fallen foliage.
• To clean the glass, simply use a soft damp cloth or sponge. Remember, condensation is normal, and an important part of the life cycle.
• We do not recommend regular feeding. This will encourage rapid growth, and your plants will very quickly outgrow your terrarium.
  
• You may feed once per year with a natural indoor plant food at half strength.
• Regular rotation of your terrarium will ensure all plants receive adequate sunlight.
