Depending on your soil pH, blooms can range from rich periwinkle blues to bold rosy pinks, making it easy to customize your color palette with a soil amendment or two. Where to Plant
Twist-n-Shout shines in part sun to filtered shade, making it ideal for foundation plantings, woodland borders, mixed shrub beds, and large containers. Its upright, rounded habit (3–5 feet tall and wide) allows it to tuck neatly into nearly any garden style, from cottage to contemporary.
Care Instructions
The Twist-n-Shout Hydrangea thrives in USDA Zones 4–9 and prefers rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. Plant it in a spot that receives morning sun and afternoon shade or filtered sunlight throughout the day. Adding mulch around the base helps retain moisture and protect the roots from temperature swings. Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to get the most out of its reblooming habit. Pruning is rarely necessary—simply remove spent blooms and dead wood after the first flush to encourage a second round of flowering. Avoid heavy pruning in late summer or fall, which may remove next year’s buds.
*The Twist-N-Shout is a deciduous/semi-evergreen plant and will go dormant during the winter months. When this plant is ordered during the Fall/Winter expect seasonal foliage decline(discoloration, spots, leaf drop) or the plant to arrive completely dormant.*
