A glass of movement, vitality, and primordial energy, the Edo Kiriko Handcrafted Fujin Whisky Glass renders one of Japan's most beloved deities — Fujin (風神), the Wind God — into hand-cut crystal. The blend of vivid green and warm amber captures the dual nature of wind itself: cool and rushing, warm and life-giving. The hand-etched figure of Fujin, with his flowing robes and the famous wind bag carried over his shoulders, brings a sense of perpetual motion to the surface.

Wooden Gift Box Included: Presented in a wooden gift box, this premium whisky glass is ready for gifting, collecting, or display in a refined home bar. The box adds a more complete presentation for whisky lovers, anniversaries, groomsmen gifts, housewarmings, and special occasions.

Fujin (風神) — The Wind God

In Japanese mythology, Fujin (風神) is the deity of wind and one of the oldest gods in the Shinto-Buddhist syncretic tradition. He is often depicted as a green-skinned, wild-haired figure carrying a kazebukuro (風袋) — a wind bag — across his shoulders, from which all the world's winds are released. Fujin embodies the forces of change, movement, and the breath of life itself; without his winds, the seasons would not turn, ships would not sail, and the rains that bring harvest would not arrive. To carry the Wind God is to honor the unseen forces that move everything forward.

The Fūjin Raijin-zu — A National Treasure Tradition

Fujin is almost never depicted alone in Japanese art. He is the eternal companion of Raijin (雷神), the Thunder God — together known as the Fūjin Raijin (風神雷神). The most celebrated rendering is the Fūjin Raijin-zu (風神雷神図) folding screen by Tawaraya Sōtatsu of the Rinpa school (early 17th century), now a designated National Treasure of Japan housed at Kenninji Temple in Kyoto. Later Rinpa masters — Ogata Kōrin and Sakai Hōitsu — created their own renderings, each held by major Japanese museums. To complete the classical pair, this Fujin glass is meant to be displayed alongside our Raijin (Thunder God) glass — four hundred years of Japanese art tradition held in two vessels.

Green and Amber — The Color of Wind

The blend of vivid green and warm amber holds the dual register of wind: the green of moving leaves, of fresh storms across summer fields; the amber of warm air that carries autumn light, of breath visible against an evening sky. The colors are achieved through the traditional kise (被せ) overlay technique — layers of tinted crystal fused over a clear core, then hand-cut to reveal flashes of brilliance beneath. The interplay of cool and warm tones gives the glass a kinetic quality: color that seems to move with the wind it depicts.

Hand-Cut Through Patient Tradition

Every cut around Fujin's figure is shaped by hand against a spinning wheel through tens of thousands of careful strokes. The dense, multi-directional cutting captures light from every angle, transforming the deity into a kinetic image — Fujin seems to move with the turning of the glass. The lead-free crystal carries its considered weight with grounded refinement.

Perfect For

Single Malt Scotch, Bourbon, Japanese whisky, and any aged spirit served neat or on the rocks. A particularly meaningful gift for those drawn to Japanese mythology, Rinpa-school art, and the symbolism of change — sailors, travelers, entrepreneurs at the start of new ventures, or anyone whose life has just turned a corner. Also a powerful gesture for collectors building the complete Fūjin Raijin mythological pair (paired with our Raijin Thunder God glass), or for those who love the meeting of green and amber in any form. A glass for the bar of someone in motion.

Comfortable right out of the box. Great style and well made. The more you wear the softer they get but maintain their overall appearance.

Comfortable fit for slip-in fabric shoes
Size: 14, Color: Black/Black
My first experience with Marc Joseph. I typically purchase dress and casual work shoes from Florsheim and occasionally Rockport. I'm giving these four stars because the initial fit and feel appear solid. Depending on the shoe brand I wear a size 14 or 15. My feet are slightly wide but I don't alway need wide fit. These size 14 fit well with wide enough toe box. I've tried slip in shoes before and they just don't feel right. These somehow work and there is no heel slip. My only reservation is the high lip on the heel for slip-in and hope they dont catch pant hems. I gave 4 stars because I'll have to determine durability. Granted they are a light fabric shoe with a soft rubber tread. I'd like them to last for at least 6 months..and use them for business casual work wear during warm weather.
