Unique, sustainably sourced Australian Blackwood from the Otway Ranges in Victoria. This set has been selected from the same log, ensuring consistency in colour and timber properties. The timber is processed to ensure the grain is as straight as possible to minimise long-grain runout and increase stability, strength and acoustic qualities.
This tree is still alive. Cuttings were taken and have been planted with the hope to one day establish plantations. This represents a very special tree to us. These 2 sets are the last sets from this tree.

This timber has been air dried and seasoned for at least 4 years and has reached an EMC of approximately 8%.
Blemishes/Defects: None obvious. Small pith spot near waste, see photos.
