BowHouse RC: Low CG Conversion Kit for Axial SCX24

Transform your Axial SCX24 with the BowHouse RC Low CG Conversion Kit, designed to deliver better handling, improved weight distribution, and enhanced crawling performance. Whether you're a scale crawler enthusiast or a hardcore comp driver, this kit helps bring your SCX24 to the next level with a lower center of gravity and more stable chassis performance.

What's Included:

  • 1x Low CG Battery Tray*

  • 1x Low CG ESC Tray
    * Epic Helios RC 2S 600mAh 45C LiPo sold separately — but you knew that already.

Battery Tray Installation:

Begin by removing the stock battery tray and its four mounting screws. Save these for later. Carefully spread the chassis rails to slide out the stock tray, then transfer the stock hook-and-loop strap to the BowHouse tray. Thread screws partially into each BowHouse tray hole, then spread the chassis again to install the new tray. Secure it with the saved screws.

ESC Tray Installation:

First, remove the body mount(s) from the shock towers and carefully detach the ESC from the stock tray. Reuse the tape or apply new adhesive. Remove the shock ball studs and the stock ESC tray screws. Insert the BowHouse ESC tray by spreading the chassis rails, then install the four screws and reattach the shock studs in the correct orientation for your SCX24 model. Mount the ESC based on your body type and preferred wiring orientation.

Battery Forward Option:

For those wanting a front-weighted setup, install the battery strap onto the ESC tray instead. Depending on your truck model, this may require a short servo extension for the lights or steering servo.

Built for versatility and better trail performance, the BowHouse RC Low CG Kit is a smart upgrade for any SCX24 rig.

Perfect fit. Pls read. Tricky cover removal and cover reinstall..
Perfect fit for 2024 CRV Hybrid Touring. But read if you are DIYing. Its easy but not so easy. Saw a couple of DIY YT videos. Removing the cover is a b*t*h. Use 6mm socket instead of a screw driver. Using socket is very important and a safe bet. The screws are deep and will need several turns to fully unscrew. A magnetic socket is recommended. Don't lose the screw and the 2 washers along with it. Removing the cover is tricky but not hard. Remember, no force is needed anytime during. It slides off of the rubber gasket when you lift a bit and pull it to the right. Once released you need to get it up, out and over that narrow space (the tricky part) to reach the filter. Replace the filter correctly as it has orientation. Putting the cover back is even trickier because the gap is narrower than the cover. Use your brain not force like a puzzle. Once back into the very narrow gap it slides back on the rubber ring/gasket effortlessly. Just double check the alignment before screwing. Absolutely hand turn the screws a good few turns to make sure you are NOT cross threading them before powering (avoid) it. ONLY HAND TIGHTEN SNUG. NO TORQUE NEEDED. I don't like the placement of this engine air filter chamber. Its far back and in a very tight space. Since this is going to be a frequently changed part it should have been more conveniently placed. Not happy with Honda design on this.

Perfect fit 2023 Honda accord hybrid touring
This was the 2nd air filter I purchased of a different brand, the first 1 claimed to fit my 2023 Honda accord but it was too small. This one fit exactly to the spec and it was easy to install myself.
