General Description

The RT8120 is a single-phase synchronous buck PWMDC/DC controller designed to drive two N-MOSFET. Itprovides a highly accurate, programmable output voltageprecisely regulated to low voltage requirements with aninternal 0.8V ±1% ( option for 0.6V ±1.5%) reference. TheRT8120 uses a single feedback loop voltage mode PWMcontrol for fast transient response. An oscillator with fixedfrequency 300kHz reduces the external inductor andcapacitor component size for saving PCB board area. TheRT8120 provides fast transient response to satisfy highcurrent output applications while minimizing externalcomponents. It is suitable for high performance graphicprocessors, DDR and VTT power. The RT8120 incorporatesan externally compensated error amplifier and an internalsoft-start and output enable. The RT8120 comes inSOP-8 and SOP-8 (Exposed Pad) packages.
